Jolana Nika on Redefining Modern Connection Through Intentional, Real-Life Experiences

Jolana Nika is reshaping how people connect in a swipe-driven world through Crush & Connect, an experience designed to bring authenticity and presence back to social interaction. Inspired by the growing disconnect behind digital convenience, she created a space where real energy and chemistry can unfold naturally — face-to-face, without pressure or pretense. Set in immersive environments like Cielo Farms, each gathering encourages guests to slow down, engage meaningfully, and show up with intention. As the concept grows, Jolana remains focused on preserving intimacy and depth, with a long-term vision of expanding into a broader, community-driven movement rooted in genuine human connection.

Jolana, Crush & Connect feels like a response to modern social habits. What inspired you to create an experience that moves people away from “swipe culture” and toward real connection?
Crush & Connect came from something I was seeing everywhere—including in myself at times. We’ve become so used to quick dopamine hits, swiping, surface-level conversations… but at the same time, people feel more disconnected than ever. That contrast really stayed with me.

I’ve always believed that real energy, real chemistry, real connection—you can’t feel that through a screen. You have to be in the same space, look someone in the eyes, feel their presence, their vibe. That’s where something real begins.

So instead of another “Sunday Funday” built around distraction, I wanted to create something intentional. A space where people can slow down, show up as they are, move their bodies, laugh, open up, and actually connect—without pressure, without pretense.

Crush & Connect is really about bringing back that human element. It’s about reminding people that connection doesn’t need to be complicated—it just needs to be real.

The setting at Cielo Farms sounds intentional and immersive. How does the environment shape the kind of interactions and energy you want guests to experience?
The setting is everything—it sets the tone before anyone even speaks. At Cielo Farms, you’re surrounded by nature, open space, fresh air… it immediately helps people drop their guard and slow down.

When you take people out of the typical loud, crowded, distraction-filled environments, something shifts. Conversations become more present, energy feels calmer, and people are more open to actually connecting.

It’s very intentional. The environment supports the experience—it invites you to breathe, to be in your body, and to engage in a more real, grounded way.

You emphasize authenticity and presence. What have you noticed about how people show up differently in this space compared to more traditional social events?
What’s different is the intention people arrive with. They’re not just coming to attend another event—they’re coming because they’re open to something real. Whether that’s a new friend, a business connection, or even a romantic spark, there’s a willingness to take a leap of faith.

That shifts everything. People show up more present, more open, and more engaged because they’re not there to perform—they’re there to connect. And when that’s the shared energy in the room, the interactions naturally become more genuine and meaningful.

As the event continues to grow, how are you maintaining that sense of intimacy and meaningful connection while expanding your audience?
Growth is exciting, but for us , it’s never at the cost of the experience. I’m very intentional about keeping the energy right—whether that means being mindful of capacity, curating the crowd, or designing moments within the event that naturally bring people into smaller, more meaningful interactions.

It’s not about packing the space, it’s about protecting the feeling. Even as we grow, the focus stays the same: quality over quantity, real connection over just more people.

That intention is what keeps it intimate, no matter the size.

Looking ahead, do you see Crush & Connect evolving beyond a monthly event into something even bigger or more community-driven?
Absolutely. Crush & Connect was never meant to be just an event—it’s really about building a community. The monthly gatherings are just the starting point.

As it grows, I see it expanding into different experiences—wellness retreats, collaborations, maybe even taking it to different cities—but always with the same intention at the core: real connection.

The goal is to create something people feel part of, not just something they attend.
