Life & Work with Sevan Minaskanian

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sevan Minaskanian.

Sevan Minaskanian

Hi Sevan, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We all have a story that’s uniquely ours, and mine was sparked by a dream. I longed to share my story, but it wasn’t until a dream so vivid shook me awake that I began to write. At first, it was just a dream, nothing more. But then, there was a moment on a bridge in Vail, Colorado, where the rushing river below stirred something deep within me. I was overwhelmed with feelings I couldn’t grasp. Searching for meaning, I felt, for a brief instant, my father’s spirit in the whispering trees and the luxurious homes by the river. Frozen in place, tears came without warning, and I didn’t know why. The nature around me, the bridge that joined two paths—it all connected me to my father in a way I’d never felt before. Leaving that bridge, it was as if I left a piece of myself there. It’s a peculiar feeling, difficult to put into words. Initially, only my husband knew because I feared others wouldn’t get it and might judge me. But a year later, in another dream, my father explained why I was there and what it meant. He told me to write my story. That’s when “WINTER SAGA” was born, growing into a trilogy. The first book, “WINTER TIME,” is now touching hearts worldwide, and as we enter 2025, the saga will continue with “WINTER LOVE,” followed by “WINTER DREAM.”

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
In the beginning, everything seemed easy, like walking on soft, smooth fabric. But after I finished writing my manuscript, things got tough, like walking on a bumpy, stony path. It was hard, like climbing a steep hill with dangers all around. It seemed like the world of writing books was only for those who were already doing well. I felt all alone and very sad, and sometimes I almost wanted to stop trying. It was like my dreams were smashed in a place with no way out. Then, one day, I went to where my dad is buried, knowing he would help me find the way to make my dream real. With God’s help and the strength I got from my dad, I decided to publish my book myself. I am so proud of myself for doing it all on my own. Keeping hope alive and staying strong helped me finish my book and get it into stores everywhere.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am an Author who specialize in writing Fiction Romance and YA Fiction Romance.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Contrary to my outward appearance and manner of speaking, which may come across as strong, I possess a tender heart and am deeply in touch with my emotions. The views of others hold significant weight in my life, occasionally more than I’d like, and it’s something I hope to adjust within myself. There are moments when I perceive dishonesty, and even though others expect me to speak up, given my forthright nature, I often choose silence. Many believe I’m one to take control in various scenarios, yet they might be surprised to learn that I tend to adapt to the flow of things, especially when in a group setting.
