For Theresa Croft, artistry isn’t confined to one lane — it’s a reflection of how she lives. From music and acting to fashion and wellness, each outlet feeds into a larger, more grounded creative identity rooted in balance and self-awareness. Whether she’s performing intimate live sets, building visual worlds through mood boards, or starting her day with movement and meditation, Theresa approaches her craft with intention and emotional depth. Her goal is simple but powerful: to create work that connects, heals, and reminds people they’re not alone.
Theresa, you’re exploring music, acting, fashion, and wellness. How do these different creative outlets come together to shape your overall artistic identity?
While my performing artistry is a huge part of my life and identity, I do think it’s important to have other interests and lifestyles outside of it to help balance and cultivate my work. Being a human in the world that experiences different things only helps elevate my work as a performer. I love starting my day with movement and meditation, whether it’s a new fitness class in the area, dancing, yoga, Pilates, or walking outside, –I believe centering myself without diving right into work is essential for my mind. I love mini meditations or mantras as well to help start my day, in order to be the best I can be that day. Each day is different and never perfect, but it’s the balance I like to encourage for myself. Starting my days off like this creates a motivation in my work as an artist. Fashion has always played a huge role in my life, and I enjoy creating different styles and looks to express how I’m feeling each day, or for an event. Each themed look I pull together says how I feel, and sometimes that may very well be activewear, but it still helps me feel motivated when I feel “put together” in a color or vibe sense. Experiences in life only help propel my acting and music projects. There are several methodologies to each, but living and observing behaviors in the world help create the balance in my life to cultivate individuality.
You’ve been performing at pop-ups and open mics. How have those live experiences influenced your growth and confidence as an artist?
I love performing live. Whether there is a crowd of people or only a few people, I believe connection and being a possible inspiration to others through a song is a beautiful thing. I had the opportunity of singing at a local jazz club a few months ago, and I sang one of my standard Nina Simone covers, and afterwards a couple came up to me and said they enjoyed the song because one of their fathers was the main orchestra for the song in an old Hollywood film. It brought them so much joy and it also brought me joy to hear they were touched by a song I didn’t know held so much for them in their own lives. Being able to share my original music to new audiences is always so special, because I am often writing songs for other artists, and when I can finally sing my lyrics (because I write all of my lyrics), the responses and connections I obtain are so lovely.

You’re creating mood boards for future music videos. What inspires your visual storytelling, and how important is imagery in your music?
Imagery and storyline are so important to me when I’m portraying my own songs. I love creating the environment and look that I personally feel toward the message I am hoping to portray. However, I do love when others have their own inspirations and ideas on what my songs could mean, but painting a picture or hint is something I like to do in order to relate more to my audiences. Pinterest is my best friend when I create mood boards. This helps my collaborations go far, and we always end up creating my visions!
With interests in fashion, beauty, and wellness, how do those passions influence your creative direction and personal brand?
I love leading my brand and aura with kindness and peace. A healthy and authentic mindset is something I like to put forth. Treating others with kindness and promoting positivity through my actions and style is something I love to do. I enjoy clean beauty brands, slow and quality fashion brands, and individual start-up brands in both fashion and beauty are always my favorites to support and discover. I also love supporting and promoting new boutique fitness studios! Put them all together, and I’m in my element.
As you continue developing original music and expanding your artistry, what kind of experience or message do you want your audience to connect with most?
Yes, I am currently creating new singles, and I am so excited to share these songs with my current listeners. I had dabbled with electro pop for the past few years, and while I do love a poppy dance song, I feel like my true music identity will always be a pop ballad or song at the piano. I hope to share and inspire others through my lyrics, and a lot of things have happened in the last few years that I am ready to share and open up about to my audience. I want people to feel like they are not alone, and that there will always be hope and faith through hard times. Music is so healing, and it can truly help others overcome things in life.
