With a career spanning entertainment, fitness, entrepreneurship, and storytelling, Saba Moor-Doucette continues to challenge conventional ideas around aging and ambition. Through projects ranging from film production and live performance to growing Saba’s Fit For Life, she is proving that passion, discipline, and mindset can fuel reinvention at any stage of life. Guided by a mission to inspire others to pursue their goals without limitation, Saba is building a legacy centered on longevity, empowerment, and the belief that it is never too late to evolve.
Saba, your career has spanned decades across acting, producing, writing, fitness, and entrepreneurship, and now you’re simultaneously developing a one-woman show, producing and starring in a feature film, and growing your Saba’s Fit For Life brand. Looking at everything you’ve built over the years, what continues to drive your creativity and ambition even after such an accomplished career in entertainment?
It’s my energy to keep active, which I believe also keeps me alive. If you have things to do you don’t have room for thoughts of leaving the planet or negative thoughts.
You’re currently preparing to debut your one-woman show while also developing your comedy-horror feature film Haunted Hookers. After working in nearly every corner of the entertainment industry, what excites you most about stepping further into storytelling as both a creator and performer?
What excites me most is being in front of a live audience again after 40 years. I love the thrill of getting an immediate reaction, and hopefully bringing people’s emotions to light from my stories — whether they’re laughing, crying, or cringing.
Your journey is incredibly unique because you’ve successfully built careers in both entertainment and fitness, becoming an international bodybuilding champion while continuing to work creatively in film and television. How have these two very different worlds influenced one another throughout your life and career?
My fitness career has given me the energy and stamina I need to continue with my show business career. And thanks to my show business career, I have been able to take my fitness career to another level — creating radio, workshops, television shows, and short form content where my personality helps to sell my brand — Saba’s Fit For Life. But with that being said, being a metaphysical practitioner has given me the mental ability to know that I can do all this with ease.
Through Saba’s Fit For Life, you’ve built a lifestyle brand centered around health, fitness, and longevity while continuing to inspire people through your own example. What message do you hope people take away when they see the way you continue to stay active, ambitious, and constantly evolving at this stage of life?
My hope is that everyone who sees or meets me will know that you’re never too old, and it’s never too late to reach a goal you desire.
From Broadway, film, and television to publishing books, launching fitness programs, building digital media platforms, and now preparing major new creative projects, your career has consistently challenged the idea of what aging is supposed to look like. What legacy do you hope your story leaves for people who may feel it is too late to reinvent themselves or pursue something new?
I want my legacy to do what my mother did for me when she was in her late 90s — getting more fit and healthier from following my “Think It, Do It, Be It” process. She proved to me that what I teach people can work at any age; I would like my legacy to prove that anyone can reach goals they desire. I’m aging consciously because I’m using the biggest muscle I have: my mind muscle. Which also proves to me my favorite saying: if you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right…
