Today we’d like to introduce you to Valerie Aguinaga.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I started my journey with Pampúree in 2018 when I created the name, ideally I had the idea that the company was going to launch as well but it didn’t. It was sort of like the timing wasn’t right, so I always held on to the name. I like to do a list of goals I want to achieve every year and sure enough, every time I wrote the list I kept putting ‘Launch Pampúree, start creating Pampúree, your business will flourish’. I guess it was like a little push always reminding myself that I started an idea so now I need to finish it. So fast forward to present day 2020 and in the midst of the pandemic, my company was allowing us to take voluntary time off, so I decided why not take three months off to work on my own business! I started creating and building which manifested my first product ‘Pura Vida’ Smudge sticks. Then came after my ‘Fresh All Day’ natural whitening toothpaste and ‘Zen Sage’ for Men. I couldn’t be happier with the path I was set on and the now being the moment my business would flourish. We’re a small business but I think what the pandemic taught people is to start investing in small businesses. Let’s root each other on and build wealth together while changing the world for the better.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I feel 2018 was the rough part of Pampúree’s journey because I had in mind the business flourishing. Unfortunately, my funds and ideas weren’t aligned with that plan. I felt as if I failed at that point, and I was never going to see my idea manifest. Then I had a moment where I was really hard on myself questioning why my vision didn’t quite work out. Now I thank myself for my moment of doubt because my competitiveness came through, and that’s when I told myself, “I refuse to give up”. From then on, I kept mentally reminding myself that no matter what, I needed to make my business start! Fast forward to May 1st, 2020, I said I was either going to fear this pandemic and be unproductive through quarantine or make the things I desire REALLY manifest. Since then, our company has truly been blessed, allowing us to create the perfect product to having an amazing community of supporters who love what we stand for. Now I can say from the beautiful three months we just let fate run its course, it’s been a nice smooth road and we’re full of gratitude!

Pampúree is a self-love/self-care online store. We create all natural cruelty-free products that you can incorporate in your pampering routine. We want our brand to excite you on allowing more time for yourself. Especially in times like this we need to take care of ourselves inside and out. By taking a moment to step away from the chaos and just staging your home with “Pura Vida” or “Zen” and detoxifying your body with our “Fresh All Day” Natural Whitening Toothpaste and more exciting upcoming products. What we are most proud of in our company is our presentation when it comes to packaging and gifting. My goal to have every customer feel like I was right there with them as they were opening their gift filled with love. That’s what sets us apart from others is that weren’t not just selling things we’re showing the community to love yourself before anything else!

The most important people who deserve credit for the success of our company is our team. My mother, Lydia, my sister Laura, and my boyfriend Joseph. They’ve help day in and day out in operations and creative marketing to roll out amazing beautiful products! Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am now.
And most important every support that has purchased something from us or maybe just followed us and have cheered us along the way. We’re all in this together and nothing possible without a team!
