Meet Amanda Penny of Penny Marketing

Today we’d like to introduce you to Amanda Penny.

Amanda, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
As long as I can remember, I’ve always wanted to be the owner of a successful advertising agency and work with some of the top global brands as well as small businesses to make a difference in people’s lives. I started Penny Marketing in 2014 in Raleigh, NC and moved it to Los Angeles, California. I packed up and moved across country, not knowing anyone and starting a business from scratch to follow my dream. I have learned so much along this amazing journey and I am still learning. I have been able to collaborate with some amazing minds in Los Angeles and gain completely new and different aspects on how to approach business strategies. I have become and adobe solutions partner, learned how to build apps, work with some amazing talent in the music industry, work with some amazing companies to launch new businesses and I am still looking for new opportunities and business ventures.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting from scratch is not easy. Picking up everything and moving across country is not easy. But with determination and passion, anything is possible.

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Penny Marketing – what should we know?
Penny Marketing is an advertising agency specializing in broadcast media buying and digital marketing. I also work with small businesses to obtain grants for various projects. I have done some literary agency work, talent management, reputation management, build websites, public relations and more.

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Passion and drive.

Willingness to learn new things.

Open minded perspective.

Ability to collaborate and work with others.
