Meet Liberty Woodman of Lady Liberty Events in the Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Liberty Woodman.

Liberty, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
It all began with a true appetite for the art of cuisine, where Liberty embarked on a culinary journey that landed her at Le Cordon Bleu in London. Following her graduation, she headed to Paris where she trained at the well-known, Hotel Luticia, working closely with the chefs both in the savory and pastry kitchens. With a solid training, an unforgettable experience, and some serious culinary pass, it was time to head home to Los Angeles. Upon her return, Liberty began as a personal chef and catering private events. Slowly but surely she started to hone in on the table design and ambient details. Clients recognized Liberty was not just a chef in the kitchen but that she created an overall experience that completely surpassed the duties of a chef or caterer. Over the years as the catering company (significantly) grew, Liberty began offering full design and coordination services, providing her clients with an exclusive service for all of their entertaining needs.

Liberty is known for her one-on-one client approach, her meticulous attention to detail, and can maneuver through any glitches with the utmost of ease. She can scan a room and visualize something that others cannot even begin to imagine. With her hands in every aspect of your event, Liberty takes a very personal investment in each client, knowing that she is working with you to create a moment, an experience, and an unforgettable memory… she will move mountains to get you there.

I am always excited to meet new clients, especially the ones that have the confidence to do something unique and trust that I can bring it to life. I love what I do, I do what I love, and quite frankly, I’m really darn good at it!”

Has it been a smooth road?
It would be a very boring road if it was smooth the entire way thus far! Having started my company at a such a young age there was so much to learn! I found the best way was to just give it my all and figure it out as I went along. After every event, I would review it bit by bit and determine where it could improve, and jot down notes about things I needed to be sure to ask specific vendors. We still do that today, I am constantly learning, pushing and challenging myself. One of my favorite parts of this journey is that every event and client is so different which keeps us on our toes but also encourages us to be more creative!

Formally established in 2000, with a true passion for both the culinary arts and event design, we have successfully made a mark in this diverse field. Having produced numerous soirees in New York, Dominican Republic, Napa and Sonoma, Santa Barbara, Arizona, Idaho, Hawaii, Mexico, and beyond… our global resources and vendors allow us the opportunity to produce events wherever your heart desires. Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I love our city! I am one of those rare Angeleno’s that was born and raised here… and there is still so much to do and see. There is so much incredible inspiration throughout this entire city..almost anywhere you turn. With all the talented artists that encompass this city, it provides us with so many creative outlets to design and create unique and extraordinary events. I have always said to my team, if I can imagine it, then it CAN be done. I absolutely believe that in this city. There is so much talent here.


  • Weddings – We only accept a certain number of weddings a year in order to provide each of our couples with the attention needed. Therefore we only offer full coordination + design services or solo design services.
  • Our client’s standard wedding budgets start at $100K
  • Corporate + Social Events – Fees are based on the scope of work and services required.
