Conversations with Khadijat Dania

Today we’d like to introduce you to Khadijat Dania.

Hi Khadijat, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I am an artist originally from the Bay Area. Music has always been a constant in my life. From my childhood to today, I have always been drawn to various mediums of expression. A little over a year ago, I debuted my music career with a growing collection of rap singles.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
On my journey as an independent artist, I view many of the obstacles I have been faced with as learning opportunities. One challenge I have found so far is deciphering genuine opportunities, but overall I listen to my intuition. I am aware of who I am and where I’m going.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
My path as a rapper, singer, and songwriter continues to evolve with standout tracks including “Dangerous,” “Heartbreaker,” “Head of State (H.O.S.)” and “Splurge.” I recently released my first EP entitled “KATAPULT” consisting of six songs, all bangers.

What does success mean to you?
I define success as alignment with my vision. I think it’s important to celebrate the small steps or even what may seem like failures because I always believe things are stacking in my favor.
