Meet Vincent Ducros of Ducros Electrical Services in Long Beach

Today we’d like to introduce you to Vincent Ducros.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Vincent. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was kinda born into the trade, my grandfather was a general contractor, my father was an electrician, and my whole family, cousins and uncles are electricians. At a young age, I knew I was going to have some kind of business, I just wasn’t sure what it was. I have always been business-oriented, organized and self-motivated.

Once I got my electrical contractors license, I started my own business and now my wife and I have been in business for many years.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
We were fortunate in the beginning. We were able to build a clientele pretty quickly with large property management companies. I did a lot of footwork myself. The hardest part was the office side of the business. We didn’t know or have experience in running a business. We learned as we went along and are still learning.

Please tell us about Ducros Electrical Services.
We are a small electrical contracting business. I am the owner and I train, motivate and audit the company. We are a service-based company which means we do a lot of service and repair so the quality of our service is vital.

We also do remodels, electrical panel upgrades, kitchen remodels, retrofitting old incandesce lights to new LED light fixtures, and a variety of many other types of electrical.

I believe one reason we have continued to grow is that we believe that a customer service is vital. We are best known for our customer service and the flexibility in our schedule to always make sure when there’s an electrical emergency we are there so it gets taken care of promptly.

I always help my electricians to understand and appreciate that anyone can train to be an electrician. So the only thing that will set us apart is being clean, kind and considerate to provide the customer the best service.

In many cases, we end up being friends with our customers. This is because our technicians are clean, kind, considerate, and have a good personality which make people feel comfortable in their home.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
To be honest, I have good memories but I can’t just pick one. Plus, I was told I was a brat and got in trouble a lot.
