Meet Elvira Zamora of Wardrobe Divas in San Fernando Valley

Today we’d like to introduce you to Elvira Zamora.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Elvira. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started my retail business inside my father’s tailor shop in Canoga Park. I was inspired by him and wanted to be my own boss doing what I love. I have always had a good time with fashion, experimenting and expressing my artistic point of view through style.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not and it is still not a smooth road when it comes to doing business. Dealing with all the challenges of marketing, other competitors and making a small business profitable is very hard.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Wardrobe Divas story. Tell us more about the business.
My company carries women’s clothing and accessories. I curate the online boutique with handmade items from other small business designers and unique finds. I am also a personal stylist, produce fashion shows and creative director for photoshoots. We are known for being proud of individual style at affordable prices. I am most proud that we have been doing business for over 16 years and continue to grow and improve. What sets us apart is that everything we do, is creatively thought of so that the images, product and final result create an artistic image.

Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
Luck has been there for the company when it comes to meeting the right people to advance and the wrong people for the lessons.
