Today we’d like to introduce you to Shaun Rey.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Shaun. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I have always wanted to be a part of the entertainment industry, either throwing parties or promoting artists. I found out that it was a lot of work because you had to be around the right people in order to make connections. It was tough, so I ended up giving it up. Years later, I would find myself taking a free acting class my brother in law suggested I’d take since I felt I could do what he did on screen. I took the class with a reputable acting coach and the rest was history. I loved the freedom and creativity of acting and adapted the craft very well. After several years, I started putting my craft to work and ended up landing auditions and meeting some great individuals that would help me along my way. I’ve gotten to work on shows like Law & Order: SVU, Blue Bloods, Good Cops on Netflix and many Investigation Discovery shows. I’ve made my way from New York to LA for more work, connections and creating my own content with several filmmakers.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
This road is a rocky one but can be well deserving if you work hard and continue to stay on the path in achieving my dream. I do get stuck sometimes when you don’t get the roles you set out to audition for. I’m the type to still get up and continue one despite the rejections, the no’s or even the no callbacks. This is a tough business but I love it.

I am also a producer and own my production company called Rey Heights Productions. I am currently writing and collaborating with several good friends in order to bring out some great content. However, the pandemic set us back a bit but we will be starting up soon.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I would have started all over, I would definitely save most of the money I made in the past and invested in real estate and business ventures.
