Today we’d like to introduce you to Eden Israel.
Eden, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Music has always been part of my life. My mother played a CD of pan flute music to put me to sleep as a baby. I also played viola and piano for ten years. Other than that music was there to help and heal me through difficult times in my life. My father was emotionally abusive and I was bullied while growing up. Finding music from artists that went through the same difficulties and got through those challenges inspired me to keep living when times were tough.
No one let me know that there were many different career paths in music, so I “gave up” pursuing music professionally. While I was in college, I was always looking out for the next and upcoming song that will be overplayed on the radio and share it with friends. Lo and behold six months later the songs I pointed out that would be hits, became just that.
A couple of months after moving to Los Angeles, I went to a Sofar Sounds show, and it just blew me away. The amazing Morgan Jay, Adam Friedman, Caught a Ghost, and Kapali Long performed and I was shocked that I never heard of them before. So I made it a mission to find uplifting, positive, and catchy music from unheard artist and share it to the best of my abilities. Now, I am continuing my search for these gems as well as slowly but surely making Euphonixx into a music company. Trying to get the Euphonixx clothing line to rocket off so the profit made can go into funding artists’ creativity. Like a record label, but really making sure that both parties win/win when it comes to profit.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Oh, when it comes to entertainment, nothing comes easy. Unfortunately and fortunately, the entertainment field wields a lot of money, and when money is involved some people will lie and cheat to get as much as they can. I was a victim of that first hand. I won’t go so much into detail, plus there is an article on my website called “A Snake in Sheep’s Skin” which goes into what happened, what I learned, and how to avoid the same misfortune. I learned a lot about the music industry in general after that misfortune. All in all, I will always share my struggles and what I learned to help others along the way. So subscribe and follow me 😉
Please tell us about Euphonixx.
As of now, Euphonixx is a music blog, finding modern day music from unheard artists that not only have great music but a great message behind it. I have started a clothing line (https://euphonixx-gear.myshopify.com/collections/all ) to start earning a profit that I can use to help produce artist’s creativity. What makes Euphonixx special it’s not about popularity, it’s not about the looks, it about the music and the message. I try to create real connections with everyone I work with, and try to help everyone as best as possible without any agendas. I will also be completely honest with artists if they ask for feedback, and I will be honest with my own mistakes. I will also own up to my mistakes, and that is something I feel lacks in the entertainment field.
