Check Out Wayne Byrum’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Wayne Byrum.

Hi Wayne, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Hi! So I started playing guitar at a very young age, around when I was 8 years old and my parents saw me rocking out to the Sum 41 music video on the original (Toby McGuire) Spider-Man movie special features! I was in a metal band in high school called “Theia” in the metro Detroit area, and that went well, and since then I’ve been doing solo work more seriously for the past 4 years or so.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
No, it’s been a rocky road, but I enjoy the process throughly. I’ve just been in and out of bands, dealt with failures, the struggles of trying to pay rent, ect.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a guitarist first, then audio engineer and vocalist second. I love making music and playing the guitar, it’s just something I truly enjoy doing day in and day out. I’m most proud of the views that I’ve gotten on social media and also the amazing experiences I’ve been granted over these past 31 years of my life with music. It’s been fun overall so far. What sets me apart from others is that I work very hard on my music, am very meticulous about my craft and getting things to exactly how I want them to sound, and also I am very professional and mature for my age, I always have been.

Can you tell us more about what you were like growing up?
I played soccer a lot growing up, I’ve always had a good sense of confidence, and had a good instinct about me as well. I can pretty much call things as I see it, and which usually they are, so that’s always been good to have for myself. I’ve always been SUPER obsessed with music, never had a day where I don’t listen to at least 20 songs in a day (or the same song 20 times). Just has always run through my blood!
