Story & Lesson Highlights with Peppe Miele of Inglewood

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Peppe Miele. Check out our conversation below.

Peppe, it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are all about intention and focus. I like to take a few moments for myself — a coffee, a quick workout or stretch, and a few minutes to organize my thoughts and priorities for the day.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am the President of VPN Americas (Verace Pizza Napoletana), the official organization dedicated to protecting and promoting authentic Neapolitan pizza around the world. With a deep passion for Italian culinary tradition and craftsmanship, I work closely with pizzaioli, restaurants, and food professionals across the Americas to uphold the highest standards of quality, authenticity, and education. Through training, certification, and community-building, I help preserve the true art of Neapolitan pizza while supporting the next generation of pizza makers.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
The people who love you and believe in you see your potential long before you do

What fear has held you back the most in your life?
The worry of trying something meaningful and not succeeding

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
That’s a beautiful question. I think the public version of me is real, but it’s only a part of who I am. What people see — the passion for pizza, the commitment to tradition, the leadership, the energy — that’s all genuine. I don’t believe in creating a character for the public.

Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If immortality were real, what would you build?
I’d build something that grows with humanity — not just a monument, but a living legacy.
