Story & Lesson Highlights with Kyrian Corona of Studio City

We recently had the chance to connect with Kyrian Corona and have shared our conversation below.

Hi Kyrian , thank you so much for joining us today. We’re thrilled to learn more about your journey, values and what you are currently working on. Let’s start with an ice breaker: Who are you learning from right now?
I just received my certification in Google A.I. Essentials on the Coursera platform. Not really a who – more of a what – unless A.I. is becoming human.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I am a professional writer specializing in communications strategies, including public relations, social media, blogging, and business development. My client list comprises major urban developers, architects, lifestyle brands, and nonprofits.

I also have been writing poetry for as long as I can remember. In fact, I won my first poetry contest when I was 11. My most recent project was “The Perfect Gyros,” a collaboration with a German photographer, featuring his retro black and white street photography shot in Greece. I wrote a poem to accompany each photo, inspired by my passion for existential philosophy and cultural history – with a healthy dose of humor! “The Perfect Gyros” exhibition was presented in 2024 at the Philadelphia Greek-German Society in Athens, Greece.

I have a home office based in Los Angeles, with the flexibility to work just about anywhere in the world. I live part-time in Paris, France and Athens, Greece, and also travel a lot. I believe that engaging with different cultures gives me a unique perspective, which benefits my clients.

As a volunteer, I have been singing with and serving as president of the Burbank Chorale since 2006. The Chorale is one of the oldest continuously performing musical organizations in California. I am a founding member and sing with Independent Opera Company (est. 2012), and serve as vice president. I also sing with and serve as recording secretary for Wagner Ensemble. I have performed at Carnegie Hall, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Zipper Hall, Royce Hall, Cathedral of Our Lady of the Angels, Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Chartres, and Église Saint-Germain-des-Prés, to name a few.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
Trust.

Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
I think it’s perfectly normal to want to give up sometimes. The ups and downs of daily life can be stressful, to say the least. When I’m having a particularly challenging day, I may fantasize about chucking it all. But then something wonderful will happen, professionally or personally, and I realize that temporary setbacks are just what they are, and this too shall pass.

Next, maybe we can discuss some of your foundational philosophies and views? What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
Empathy.

Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m filled with gratitude. I meditate on gratitude before I fall asleep and when I first wake up in the morning.
