Story & Lesson Highlights with Jeremy Kasler of Beverly Hills

We’re looking forward to introducing you to Jeremy Kasler. Check out our conversation below.

Hi Jeremy, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
I wake at 4.30am naturally without an alarm. I make a large cup of tea and read the LA Times, UK Daily Telegraph and the Australian Sydney Morning Herald.
At 5.20 my gym trainer arrives at my home gym and I work out for 50 minutes.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jeremy Kasler, I am CEO of CaskX LLC based in Beverly Hills. We are the world’s biggest and longest established bourbon investment brokerage. We help our clients to invest into newly filled barrels of bourbon and American whiskey. This allows our clients to invest into something they love (bourbon) and to make money at the same time. After investing we arrange for our clients to visit the distillery they have invested into, meet the team, stir the corn and really become part of the process. It is rare for an investor to have such a hands on experience into an area they have invested.

Amazing, so let’s take a moment to go back in time. Who taught you the most about work?
My grandfather was the person who taught me the most important lessons in life and work. He worked every day until he passed at 87. He taught me the value of a good reputation in business. How to treat everyone equally in life and hard work will always pay off in the end, even if you don’t see immediate benefits.

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
It taught me that you can find a positive in almost any bad situation. You have to look for the positives in life, they are not always obvious. But when you find them they can help to ease the pain and give you a springboard to success.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Is the public version of you the real you?
I believe so yes. Of course I like to highlight my positive side in interviews etc. The reality is, i love whiskey, my business is thriving, I’m hard working, I believe I’m a great boss and I believe all these attributes are the ones I tend to promote publicly.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
Buying wine for my collection. I have around 1500 bottles which I’m pretty sure is enough to get me through the next 10 years.
