Story & Lesson Highlights with Jasmine Lainfiesta of San Dimas

We recently had the chance to connect with Jasmine Lainfiesta and have shared our conversation below.

Jasmine , a huge thanks to you for investing the time to share your wisdom with those who are seeking it. We think it’s so important for us to share stories with our neighbors, friends and community because knowledge multiples when we share with each other. Let’s jump in: Are you walking a path—or wandering?
Wandering. I feel like it is hard to always have a straight path when it comes to living life so wandering seems to be the best way for me to enjoy life and experience what it has to offer.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
My name is Jasmine but most people call me Jass.

I enjoy capturing the special moments others have and ensuring that they become lasting memories that can be felt in the future. I believe that there is no moment too small and anything that brings you joy should be captured and celebrated.

Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What did you believe about yourself as a child that you no longer believe?
As a child I viewed myself to be too quiet, too reserved and, ultimately, extremely introverted. Although I do find myself an introvert at heart, I am able to open up and share my thoughts and feelings with others and listen to theirs through my job.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
You’re doing great.

My younger self was always trying to exceed at everything that came their way as a response of being afraid to fail. Failure will only teach you how to persevere so do not be afraid to start again and give it another try.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. Whose ideas do you rely on most that aren’t your own?
My mother and my husband. I find their ideas to be extremely creative and one of a kind so it is always a breath of fresh air to hear their thoughts and perspectives whenever I am in need of a new point of view.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. If you retired tomorrow, what would your customers miss most?
I would hope they would miss my dedication to ensuring they are comfortable and also my eye for the smallest detail. I believe making sure your client feels comfortable will create the magical photos.
