Hi Fabiana, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What makes you lose track of time—and find yourself again?
For me, it’s being in nature—especially hiking and connecting with the trees. My favorite place in the U.S. is Mount Shasta, where I can sit in stillness and listen to my inner guidance carried in the voice of the mountain. I also find that being by the ocean, feeling its vast energy, and connecting with dolphins brings me a deep sense of joy and reconnection with myself.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Fabiana Medici, an acting coach, theater director, and writer with over thirty years of experience working internationally and in Los Angeles. My work blends classical training methods like Stanislavski, Grotowski, and Method Acting with movement, clown, and holistic approaches I’ve gathered from studying and performing around the world. I’m passionate about guiding actors—both beginners and professionals—to discover their authentic voice, deepen their craft, and tell stories that move audiences.
I also greatly enjoy teaching and directing comedy. I feel it’s vital to make people laugh—laughter promotes healing, fosters connection and community, and most of all, it’s always fun.
Beyond coaching, I’m developing several creative projects, including the Knur Trilogy, a fantasy live-action/animation film series, and Azurra, a fantasy-adventure sitcom for kids. My mission is to inspire creativity, connection, and transformation—on stage, on screen, and in life.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. What breaks the bonds between people—and what restores them?
What breaks the bond between people is the break of trust. When trust is lost, I don’t believe it can ever be fully restored—though, in some cases, time may help, depending on the circumstances and the people involved. What can help restore relationships is true love, empathy, open dialogue, and genuine communication. These create the space for understanding, healing, and connection to grow again.
What have been the defining wounds of your life—and how have you healed them?
I grew up during the military dictatorship in Buenos Aires, Argentina, an experience that deeply marked my childhood and early teen years. Living in an environment filled with fear, censorship, and uncertainty left wounds that have taken a lifetime to understand. I’m still in the process of healing them.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. Is the public version of you the real you?
Half and half. Only a very few people truly know the complete real me—and sometimes, not even I fully know myself. The public version is a part of me, but like everyone, I have layers that remain private, evolving, and even mysterious to me.
Okay, so before we go, let’s tackle one more area. If you knew you had 10 years left, what would you stop doing immediately?
I would stop being afraid. Fear limits us in so many ways. Gets in the middle of everything and stops us from growing and moving forward.
