Rising Stars: Meet Peter Hollywood of Van Nuys

Today we’d like to introduce you to Peter Hollywood.

Hi Peter, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
We met through mutual friends in the music scene and got together with the intention of making some original music. The chemistry was apparent from the start. We’ve gone on to write many songs and perform live on the reg.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Smooth like peanut butter but sometimes crunchy. Trying to keep our shit together enough to be able to make music can seem like a struggle at times. But we’re still rocking. So I guess you can say we’re unstoppable.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
MAL is an original rock trio from the deep, dark bowels of Van Nuys, CA known for melting faces wherever they perform. With sounds ranging from heavy psychedelic , alternative rock , grunge and a touch of prog they mesmerize crowds with unique rhythms , riffs and sometimes unconventional musical arrangements. MAL is a “must see” band with a sound you won’t forget !
