Rising Stars: Meet Isabella Long of Orange County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Isabella Long.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
My story really started with ballet. I grew up dancing, and it taught me so much about discipline, confidence, dedication, and expressing myself through movement. Being a ballerina gave me an early love for performing and for being able to tell a story without always having to use words.
As I got older, I realized I wanted to explore different ways of expressing myself creatively, and that’s what led me to modeling. Modeling felt like a natural next step because it allowed me to combine the confidence and discipline I developed through ballet with fashion, creativity, and individuality. I love that every shoot can tell a different story and that there is so much freedom in how you can present yourself.
Being in Hollywood and surrounded by so many creative people has also inspired me to step outside of my comfort zone and really pursue the things I’m passionate about. I’m still at the beginning of my modeling journey, but I’m excited about everything I’m learning along the way and about where it can take me.
Ultimately, I hope my journey in modeling can inspire younger generations to explore who they are and not be afraid to try different things. I want them to know that it’s okay to experiment, discover new passions, and learn how to express themselves through fashion, art, movement, and creativity.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. My journey with modeling has been very on and off. There were times when I struggled with the fear of being judged and questioned whether modeling was really what I was supposed to be doing. At one point, I felt like I had really lost myself and didn’t understand why I kept being pushed toward this path.
Eventually, I started watching Victoria’s Secret fashion shows and other major fashion shows on YouTube for hours at a time. I remember realizing that the people I was watching didn’t just wake up one day and become successful models. They had worked extremely hard, faced rejection, continued improving themselves, and stayed committed to their dreams. I took that as a wake-up call.

I decided to stop questioning whether I belonged in the modeling world and start putting in the work to find out where it could take me. I reached out to another model, who recommended me to a photographer. After that photographer worked with me, he began spreading my name and connecting me with more opportunities. Before I knew it, one photoshoot turned into another, and then another.

Each shoot gave me more confidence and motivated me to keep going. The more I experienced the modeling world, the more I understood that this really is my dream. My journey may not have been a straight path, but every setback and every opportunity helped me realize that I want to continue chasing this and see just how far I can take it.

I’ve always believed that “the setback is always greater than the comeback,” and I think that really reflects my journey. The moments when I stepped away or doubted myself ultimately made me come back with more determination, more confidence, and a clearer understanding of why I’m doing this. I’m proud that I kept finding my way back to the dream.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
As a model, I’m still in the early stages of building my career, but I’ve already learned that modeling is about so much more than simply being in front of a camera. For me, it’s about storytelling, confidence, movement, fashion, and being able to transform into different versions of myself while still staying true to who I am.

My background in ballet has influenced the way I approach modeling. Growing up as a ballerina taught me discipline, body awareness, attention to detail, and how to communicate emotion through movement. I bring those qualities with me into every photoshoot and try to make every image feel like it has a story behind it.
I’m especially drawn to fashion and editorial modeling because I love the creativity that comes with creating an entire feeling through an image. Every shoot gives me the opportunity to learn something new, experiment with different looks, and become more comfortable expressing myself.

What I’m most proud of so far is the fact that I created momentum for myself. My journey started with reaching out, taking chances, and being willing to put myself out there. One opportunity led to another, and eventually I found myself going from photoshoot to photoshoot and becoming more confident in my abilities.
I think what sets me apart is that I’m not trying to fit into one specific version of what a model is supposed to be. I want to continue exploring different sides of myself and use modeling as a way to express them. I’m still discovering exactly where this career will take me, but I know I want to keep learning, creating, and pushing myself further.
Ultimately, I hope to build a career that allows me to inspire other young people to explore their creativity and realize that they don’t have to have everything figured out. They can try new things, express themselves, and create their own path.

Networking and finding a mentor can have such a positive impact on one’s life and career. Any advice?
My biggest advice when it comes to finding a mentor or networking is to never be afraid to reach out and ask for help. You never know who might be willing to give you advice, make a connection, or open a door for you. I’ve learned that being genuine and being yourself will take you much further than trying to be someone you’re not.
I also believe in taking every opportunity that comes your way, especially when you’re just starting out. You never know which opportunity could lead to the next one. Everyone’s journey is different, so it’s important not to compare your progress to anyone else’s. The more you push yourself, put yourself out there, and tune out the opinions that hold you back, the more confident you become in your own path.
Most importantly, never stop chasing your dreams. Sometimes you may not understand why certain opportunities or people come into your life, but if something is truly meant for you, things have a way of flowing naturally. Trust yourself, keep showing up, and let your journey unfold.
