Today we’d like to introduce you to HAIFA MELLITI.

Hi HAIFA, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My story is, above all, the story of a woman who gradually chose to transform her passions into a true way of living, creating, and sharing.

I began my professional journey in education before feeling a deep need to move closer to what truly inspired me: women, well-being, art, and the freedom to be oneself. This evolution led me to naturopathy and holistic care, culminating in a Doctorate in Naturopathy specializing in holistic care. I then developed my entrepreneurial path by founding two holistic beauty institutes in Montpellier, France, designed as spaces where beauty meets well-being, attentive care, and reconnection with oneself.

But another form of expression has always been part of my life: art.

I am a self-taught painter and intuitive pianist. My paintings are primarily centered around female figures whom I call my **Goddesses** symbolic, free, and luminous women surrounded by signs, colors, and elements inspired by the Mediterranean, my roots, and my imagination.

Alongside painting, I improvise at the piano without sheet music, allowing each melody to emerge naturally from emotion and intuition. My paintings and my music therefore communicate with one another as two languages belonging to the same artistic universe.

Over time, I realized that every dimension of my journey was deeply connected. Holistic care nurtures the woman, painting gives her an image, and music gives her a voice.

My artistic work has gradually reached an international audience through exhibitions, publications, interviews, and the distribution of my musical compositions on international platforms. I am also developing artistic immersion projects that bring together art, heritage, culture, music, transmission, and meaningful experiences for women.

My commitment to women is an essential part of my journey. Through entrepreneurship, art, and different initiatives of transmission, particularly in Africa, I seek to highlight women’s creativity, independence, inner strength, and ability to build their own paths.

Today, I no longer separate the artist, the entrepreneur, the woman committed to empowering other women, and the holistic practitioner. They are all part of the same story.

I am building a deeply personal universe at the crossroads of art, music, femininity, well-being, and my French-Tunisian heritage, with an ambition that goes beyond borders: to create works and experiences that bring together women, cultures, and different sensibilities.

If I had to describe my journey in just a few words, I would say that I began with care, moved toward creation, and from creation found my way to transmission. Today, every painting, every melody, and every project is a new chapter in that story.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
The journey has not always been smooth, but I believe that challenges have played an essential role in shaping the woman and artist I am today.

One of my greatest challenges was having the courage to change direction and follow a path that was truly my own. Leaving a more traditional professional journey to build my own businesses and, later, fully embrace my identity as an artist required courage, patience, and a great deal of self-belief.

Being a self-taught artist also meant creating my own path without waiting for permission or validation. I had to learn how to trust my intuition, develop my artistic language, and stand confidently behind a universe that is deeply personal and different from conventional artistic codes.

Another challenge has been bringing together worlds that are often seen as separate: art, music, holistic well-being, entrepreneurship, and women’s empowerment**. For a long time, I wondered whether I needed to choose one identity. Eventually, I understood that my strength was precisely in refusing to choose. These different dimensions are not separate careers; they are expressions of the same vision.

Building projects independently has also taught me resilience. Behind every exhibition, publication, collaboration, business, or international opportunity are many hours of work, unanswered messages, closed doors, uncertainty, and moments when you simply have to continue believing in what you are creating before others can see its value.

As a woman and entrepreneur, I have also learned the importance of creating my own opportunities rather than waiting for them to appear.

Today, I see obstacles differently. A closed door does not necessarily mean the end of a path; sometimes it is simply an invitation to create another one.

Every challenge has made my vision clearer, my work stronger, and my desire to create and transmit even greater. My journey has taught me that success is not about having a perfectly smooth road it is about remaining faithful to who you are while continuing to move forward.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a **self-taught visual artist and intuitive pianist, and my work is centered on the feminine figure, emotion, symbolism, and the dialogue between painting and music.

At the heart of my artistic universe are the women I call my **Goddesses**. They are not portraits of specific women, but symbolic and timeless feminine figures. Through them, I explore freedom, inner strength, beauty, spirituality, love, and the many dimensions of womanhood.

My visual language is deeply influenced by my French-Tunisian and Mediterranean heritage. Moons, birds, protective eyes and hands, flowers, flames, celestial elements, deep blues, gold, and other recurring symbols inhabit my paintings. Each element has meaning and contributes to a universe that exists somewhere between the visible and the imaginary.

What particularly distinguishes my practice is the relationship I create between painting and music. I am also an intuitive pianist, and I compose through improvisation, without following a written score. In the same way that I allow a painting to emerge through intuition, I allow melodies to arise from silence and emotion. For me, a canvas can carry a melody, and a melody can reveal an image.

This is why I do not see my paintings as isolated objects. Together, my Goddesses, symbols, stories, and musical compositions form an evolving artistic world a universe in which visitors are invited not only to look, but also to feel, listen, and enter a story**.

I am especially proud that I have built this artistic identity independently. As a self-taught artist, I developed my own language without trying to reproduce an existing style. Over time, this very personal world has begun to travel beyond my studio through international exhibitions, publications, interviews, musical releases, and artistic immersion projects.

I am also proud that my art is connected to a larger purpose. My professional background in holistic care and my commitment to women naturally influence my creative practice. Through my work, I want women to reconnect with their own light, individuality, creativity, and freedom.

What sets me apart is perhaps this intersection of different disciplines and cultures: I paint, I improvise music, I write stories, I create experiences, and I work with women. I do not consider these separate activities; they are different expressions of the same artistic vision.

Ultimately, what I am creating is more than a collection of paintings. I am building a recognizable universe where **the feminine becomes image, emotion becomes color, and silence becomes melody.

That is the essence of my work and what I am most proud of.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
My greatest sources of inspiration do not come from one specific book, app, or podcast. I am naturally curious, and I draw inspiration from many different worlds: art, music, spirituality, women’s stories, culture, nature, travel, and human encounters.

I am particularly drawn to books and writings about spirituality, Sufi poetry, philosophy, personal growth, and the inner journey. I find great inspiration in the poetry of **Rumi**, especially in the way his words explore love, the soul, silence, and our connection to something greater than ourselves.

Music is equally important in my daily life. I listen to different styles, but I am especially sensitive to instrumental music, piano, traditional sounds, and music that carries emotion beyond words. Sometimes, however, my most important musical resource is simply silence. It is often in silence that my own melodies begin to appear.

I also enjoy discovering the work and stories of women from different cultures and generations artists, entrepreneurs, writers, and women who have created their own paths. Their journeys remind me that there is no single definition of success.

Digital platforms also allow me to discover exhibitions, artists, cultural projects, interviews, and creative communities around the world. I use them as windows into other perspectives rather than as rules for what I should create.

But ultimately, the resource that helps me give my best is curiosity. I try to remain open to learning, observing, traveling, listening, and discovering.

I believe inspiration is everywhere when we learn how to pay attention. A book can inspire me, but so can a melody, an old building, a conversation with a woman, the colors of Tunisia, a moment of silence, or simply the light entering a room.

For me, life itself remains the greatest source of inspiration.

This philosophy will also come to life through a project that is especially close to my heart: from March 27 to April 2, 2027, I will host an artistic immersion at Dar Ya, in the heart of the Medina of Tunis. It will be an intimate journey into my universe, bringing together painting, my Goddesses, intuitive melodies, women, spirituality, and Tunisian cultural heritage.

For the first time, my paintings will leave the intimacy of my studio to inhabit a place filled with history and soul. Through this immersion, I hope to bring women together, invite them to create and reconnect with their own inner light, while sharing the beauty and richness of my Tunisian roots.

In many ways, this immersion represents everything that inspires me: art, women, music, transmission, culture, spirituality, and human connection.
