Meet Sofía Pantazopoulos

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sofía Pantazopoulos.

Hi Sofía, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today. 
I am Sofia Pantazopoulos, the owner of FYSTYBROWZ. At the age of 19 I moved across the country to the city of Los Angeles, California. I was originally born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts! My senior year of high school, I decided to drop out and enroll in a night school program to receive my high school diploma. Studying in a class setting was not something that came natural to me. Once I graduated high school, I knew that I wasn’t going to go to a state College, but I wasn’t necessarily sure where I wanted to be. When I decided I would move to Los Angeles, I did everything I could to make that happen. Within my first week of being in LA, I took a 5-day microblading course. I fell in love with the permanent makeup right industry away! Working with my hands in a creative manner has always came natural to me. The PMU industry is based on hands-on learning and is constantly advancing as new techniques form. I wanted to further my education on skin anatomy, so I enrolled in an aesthetician program in 2021. I opened up FYSTYBROWZ LLC in May 2022 as business began to flourish! 

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
During the pandemic, there were not many ways to socialize and meet new faces. For the first two years of me being in LA, I did not have the confidence to share what I do for work as a young beginner PMU artist. I have been able to experience and learn so much by just having a simple conversation with a stranger. I believe the environment that we put ourselves in has a large impact on how we are able to grow. I am forever grateful to have moved to Los Angeles when I did. The pandemic was a blessing and a curse at its finest. It personally gave me time to sit down and reevaluate where I wanted to go in life and how I was going to get there. 

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I have been in the Permanent makeup industry for the last 4 years! I specialize in transforming previous permanent make up into a natural desired look that you would like to maintain. I offer services like Scalp Micropigmentation, Microblading, Lip Blushing as well as Ombré Powder brows! My most popular services are Combination Brows, Ombré Powder brows, as well as non-laser saline tattoo removal & Lip blushing! I love educating my clients and students on all the different techniques of permanent makeup. In the last two years I have been mentoring students how to become their own boss and create confidence for themselves as well as others. I am a registered non-laser saline tattoo removal technician and trainer for LiFT ink removal by Girlzink. I also offer a 5-day comprehensive 1 on 1 microblading & ombré powder eyebrows training. In this class I teach my students the importance of how to safely & properly give your clients the look they desire! 

What matters most to you? Why?
I want everyone to feel confident within their own skin. With semi-permanent make up you have the ability to enhance your natural beauty. Being able to build confidence within someone is so rewarding to be a part of. The PMU industry is something that created peace and pleasure within my life. I believe when you love what you do, you feel your best inside and out! Sometimes all you need is an adjustment in your environment. Take the risk and see what can become of it.
