Meet Owili Eison of Banafsheh Danesh & Javid, PC in Beverly Hills

Today we’d like to introduce you to Owili Eison.

Owili Eison is a Los Angeles based personal injury attorney that focuses on cases involving catastrophic injury litigation. He is currently employed as a senior litigation attorney at Banafsheh Danesh & Javid, PC (“BD&J”).

Owili received his undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California (USC) with a major in Political Science, minor in Spanish, and was a member of the University’s Honors Program.

Mr. Eison earned his law degree from Loyola Law School – Los Angeles where he served as President of the Entertainment & Sports Law Society. He also participated in the school’s renowned Trial Advocacy Program which helped hone his litigation and oral advocacy skills.

Owili resolved to become a personal injury attorney after he suffered multi-system injuries when he was hit in controlled crosswalk by a negligent motorist. After months of rehabilitation and recovery from this incident, Owili vowed that he would champion the rights of those similarly situated. As a result of his personal experiences, Owili not only sees personal injury law as his vocation but as his calling. Owili began his legal career at a renowned plaintiff’s law firm in Los Angeles where his practice areas included major injury, premises liability, wrongful death, and medical malpractice.

Over the course of his career, Owili has handled hundreds of personal injury cases from intake to trial, and in just under three years at BD&J, Owili has recovered over $100 million on behalf of his clients.

His experience includes auto accidents, NFL Concussion litigation, mass tort litigation, wrongful deaths, slip and falls, and myriad other personal injury related matters. Owili has handled cases with all of the big insurance companies and has developed a reputation as a tenacious, yet pragmatic advocate.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Not at all. As with anything worthwhile in life, there have been many challenges, setbacks and disappointments on my journey. From changes in career path and law firms to unsuccessful case outcomes, I have experienced the full spectrum of highs and lows in my career.

Nevertheless, I have used these perceived failures as fuel to propel me forward and overcome. I still feel like I am very much still on my “hero’s journey”, and know that I will encounter many other challenges going forward. That will not stop me from going forward, and I am committed to doing what is necessary to achieve my goals and maximize my potential.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have taken more risks, had supreme confidence in my abilities, followed my vision and heeded the little voice inside of my head.

I would have ignored the opinions of others that were outside of my immediate circle, and reassured myself that failure is a part of the process, and that fear is just a rapid heartbeat.
