Today we’d like to introduce you to Monica Sachdev.
Hi Monica, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I’ve spent over a decade working in marketing, primarily in B2B corporate environments where I was responsible for building and managing full marketing systems from the ground up. My work has always sat at the intersection of strategy and execution: designing websites, building lead workflows, creating content, and architecting campaigns from concept through delivery.
Over time, I started to see a pattern. Most business pain points weren’t because of lack of effort; they stemmed from not having the right connected infrastructure in place. Their marketing was often fragmented across tools, platforms, and reactive tactics that don’t build long-term value.
That realization led me to start Marketing Launch Kit. I wanted to translate my way of thinking into something more structured and practical. This means building marketing systems that businesses own, including their websites, content, data, and lead pipelines, so they’re not constantly restarting or relying on rented platforms.
More recently, I have applied my systems thinking within real estate, where many agents rely heavily on third-party platforms and lead sources. I saw an opportunity to help agents build their own digital infrastructure and inbound systems, so they can generate business more independently and sustainably.
Originally from Michigan, I made the decision to move to California after a major period of transition in my life. It was both a personal and professional reset, and it gave me the space to build something of my own from the ground up. Being based in the South Bay has reinforced the direction I wanted to take, which is having a strong focus on substance over appearance.
Today, I work with small businesses and real estate agents to design and build marketing systems that are self-owned, intentional, and aligned with how their business operates.
Everything I create is built from scratch and is real. I take pride in the quality of work I produce for clients. I think deeply about what I build, and Marketing Launch Kit is a product of that thinking.
I hold an MBA in Marketing, but my approach has been shaped by more than formal education. I grew up around the discipline, influenced early on by my dad, who was a marketing professor, and many years of hands-on experience building and running real marketing systems for real companies.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t been a smooth road. Over the past year, I went through a major period of transition in both my personal and professional life. I lost my dad, sold my home, and moved from Michigan to California on my own.
That experience forced me to step back and reevaluate everything: what I care about, how I want to work, and what I want to build long-term. It stripped away distractions and made me much more focused on substance over appearance, both in life and in business.
Professionally, one of the biggest challenges has been navigating an industry like real estate that often prioritizes quick wins, trends, and surface-level marketing over building real systems and long-term thinking. Building something that goes against that requires patience, self-trust, and a willingness to not follow what everyone else is doing.
Those experiences have shaped how I think and being in the South Bay has reinforced that direction.
Going through that level of change also gave me a level of independence and perspective that I wouldn’t have had otherwise. It made me more certain in my direction and more intentional about the work I do and the clients I work with.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about Marketing Launch Kit?
Marketing Launch Kit is a marketing systems and digital infrastructure practice focused on building custom business foundations where everything is connected to work properly from the start. I work with business owners, real estate agents, and decision makers who need more than surface-level marketing. They need systems that help businesses operate and grow over time.
Through my experience, I began to see that most small businesses struggle with marketing because they don’t have the right setup and are rarely given the option to build a self-owned system, which is the norm in B2B corporate environments. Many rely on siloed tools, pieced-together marketing, and subscription platforms. They follow trendy advice because that’s what they are taught to do.
Marketing Launch Kit focuses on building marketing systems that businesses actually own, including their website, content, data, and lead pipelines, so they are not dependent on others.
Real estate is another application of this ownership thinking. I work with agents to build their own digital infrastructure and inbound systems so they can generate business more independently and build long-lasting recognition. I build connected real estate website systems that rank online, get cited by AI, and generate stable leads over time.
What sets my work apart is that everything is built from scratch and aligned to how the business operates. I do not rely on templates, trends, or pre-packaged solutions. I don’t operate in tools first. I start by understanding client pain points, designing a system that solves those problems, and then implementing the right components to support it. I am not bound by tools. The system is designed first, and the tools are selected to fit that system.
In terms of what I offer, my work centers around building complete, connected marketing systems. For real estate agents specifically, this includes custom WordPress websites with connected lead capture and routing, content and SEO infrastructure, and integrated workflows that support how they generate and manage business.
I approach this as building digital real estate. Instead of relying on third-party platforms, agents build and own their website, inbound pipeline, and data. Everything is designed to be connected, so the website, content, and lead flow work together as a system rather than as separate tools.
Marketing Launch Kit is built for people who value real function over keeping up with appearances, long-term thinking over quick wins, and systems that are designed to work, not just look good.
Do you have recommendations for books, apps, blogs, etc?
I don’t rely much on podcasts or motivational content. What helps me do my best is thinking independently and staying close to how things literally work in the real world.
I’m highly observant and pay a lot of attention to patterns, whether that’s how markets move, how businesses operate, or how people make decisions. I tend to reverse engineer things to understand them, which helps me learn quickly and build better solutions.
Being in a place like the South Bay has also had an impact. It’s a more grounded environment, and that has reinforced my focus on clarity, simplicity, and meaning.
For me, doing my best work comes from having the space to think clearly, trust my instincts, and focus on building something real rather than constantly consuming information.
