Today we’d like to introduce you to Félixe De Becker
Hi Félixe, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey as a filmmaker began when, after saving up some money, I got my first DV camera at 15 years old. I started filming my family, the school field trips, and even created my first music video to a Bee Gees song. I was also very passionate about dance and theater, and my teenage walls were covered with posters from all the plays I saw. After completing an acting training in Paris and attending a filmmaking school, I began making my own short films and music videos. I then moved to the U.S. and worked as a freelance photographer and videographer.
I currently work for a Los Angeles-based painter, visiting her art studio in Glassell Park weekly to document her artistic process.
Happy Together Studios was created with my husband when our first daughter was born. We offer photography and videography services for events and social media content.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Looking back, we’ve been lucky with our projects, but it hasn’t always been easy. The competition in our field can be tough, and every project brings its own challenges—whether it’s dealing with market changes, meeting client expectations, or keeping up with new trends and tech. One big lesson we’ve learned is the importance of being adaptable. Things don’t always go as planned, and sometimes we have to change our approach along the way.
Overall, there have been smooth moments, but they came after a lot of hard work and problem-solving. It hasn’t always been easy, but the challenges along the way have made our successes even more rewarding. We’ve learned a lot, and we’re still adapting and growing as things change.

Happy Together Studios is a media content creation and social media management company dedicated to helping artists and brands enhance their online presence. Since June 2024, we’ve been managing the Instagram account for artist Marissa Comstock, providing services such as content creation, photography, and crafting engaging reels. In addition to this, we capture photos at art gallery events across Los Angeles and create dynamic event videography.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
What we love most about the city is its vibrant energy and endless sunshine. The city’s energy is electric—it’s a place where people from all walks of life come together, and that mix creates countless opportunities for collaboration. We love being able to connect with artists, creatives, and professionals from all over, all while enjoying the cultural diversity that LA has to offer. From art exhibitions to music festivals, there’s always something going on, and it’s exciting to be part of that dynamic atmosphere.
On the flip side, and this may not be the most original answer, is the traffic. It’s an undeniable challenge in the city. No matter how well you plan your day, you can always count on getting stuck in a traffic jam at some point. It can be frustrating, especially since it’s such a big part of daily life here. While it’s a small price to pay for everything else LA offers, it’s definitely a downside that everyone can relate to.
