Meet Evan Money of Rancho Palos Verdes

Today we’d like to introduce you to Evan Money.

Evan, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started with half a shoe string budget and a prayer. I had no business plan and no clue what I was doing, however unlike most people, I was willing to Take Action on my dreams.

When speaking on stage at our one of kind must attend events or keynoting/guest speaking at others, I help people understand there is only ONE thing preventing them from living their dreams and that is ACTION. When you Take Action, great things happen in your life.

The greatest rocket boost to my success was when I took action on R.O.F We have all heard of R.O.I, R.O.F is Return On Forgiveness. When I finally decided to forgive my dad for all the crap, that year I tripled my income. One famous entrepreneur/producer used R.O.F to forgive his dad and increase his income 900% in one year, it’s extremely powerful.

Many people think they can’t forgive someone because of the immense pain that person has caused. I tell people, don’t do it for them, do it for the money : )

Lastly, I wouldn’t be anywhere in life if it wasn’t for my bride of over 20 years. Her unconditional love and support gave me the “Home Court Advantage” so no matter what was going on in the business, I knew there were always two open arms filled with love at home.

To keep the “Home Court Advantage” my bride and I remarry in a different state or country every year. We have been married 22 times and that includes 22 honeymoons.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I have found there is never a smooth road and struggles are a key ingredient to success. Just like baking chocolate chips cookies, the chocolate chips, oil & butter are key ingredients, without them it just doesn’t taste right.

Some early challenges, other than having absolutely no money, was getting sued for $1 million by my former boss, that was exciting! Also my partner left within the first year. So early on I had decide if I was going to stick with it or not.

After about 6 years we really started to grow and the stress levels became pretty intense. It was at that point I chose to reinvent my business and I discovered less really is more. I made more money and a bigger impact with less clients.

I’m so thankful for my incredible bride who stuck with me no matter what. She was unashamed to “marry money” but there certainly wasn’t any for many, many years.

My newest challenge is reinventing a large division of my parent corporation. The goal is to focus more on things I truly love to do. As well, incorporate my son, daughter and bride in a bigger way so we can keep a strong bond as the kids get older, while my bride and I get younger : )

We’d love to hear more about your business.
As a mini-conglomerate all our companies share the same mission statement: “We bring peoples dreams to life.”

We have a division that provides startup capital to new small business, so we can help bring peoples entrepreneur dreams to life. We also provide growth loans to help expand the dream.

We have a full production company that does documentaries, film financing and turn key book writing programs to bring those dreams to life for others. (TakeActionProductions.com)

We also put on life altering seminars for entrepreneur & visionary minded people that want to thrive in their health, relationships & finances with a faith based foundation.

We also have an extreme sports division where we help people start paintball/laser tag and family fun parks.

I have discovered that success is one thing but impact is another. All my focus is on impacting lives around the world by bringing peoples dreams to life, be it a happy marriage, starting a business or making a movie.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Growing up in the South Bay, we used to go to Marineland which is now the Terranea resort in Rancho Palos Verdes. I had some great memories with all the marine life and just the location is so breathtaking. Now so many years later, I do some of my seminars at the Terranea resort so others can experience the majestic and life-giving scenery.
