Entertainment Professional and Social Media Personality Deeran Anderson-Hooper is quickly becoming a household name as evidenced through his multiple television appearances on The Game Show Network, Facebook Show, Youtube Red, Afterbuzz TV, and a starring role on the E! Network reality show Revenge Body.

Deeran’s latest endeavor is a self-help book that takes an unconventional glimpse at Deeran’s journey from life in the projects of Detroit, Michigan to living a life he never imagined in Los Angeles, California titled Colorful Confessions: from Headache and Heartbreak to Healing and Happiness.

Colorful Confessions takes an unconventional glimpse at Television Personality and Entertainer, DJ Deeran’s journey from living in the projects of Detroit, Michigan to Living the life he never imagined in Los Angeles, California. This book is for anyone who is in the space they don’t want to be and currently looking for inspiration on how to cure emotional headaches, handle situational heartbreaks, and have not fully healed from the past trauma, while also channeling happiness to live their best life. To anyone who feels alone and isolated, or feels misunderstood and let down time and time again this book is for you. Through poetry and stories, Deeran takes you through different emotions by confessing his own feelings while giving the reader a glimpse into his life and various exercises, quotes, and scriptures that he has used and applied to help resolve his own inner turmoil and move from headache to happiness.

Deeran has learned a lot throughout his life and business experiences and his authentic personality captivates those with whom he comes in contact. He is an avid world traveler and embraces cultures spanning from the East to the West. His passion for cultural experiences and the arts has led Deeran to a personal development space where he believes everyone needs accountability, motivation and community to succeed no matter where they are from or where they want to go.

So, it made sense that on Revenge Body with Khloe Kardasian, Deeran lost forty pounds in twelve weeks by realizing “fitness” goes across the board. During this process, fans of the show saw as Deeran’s emotional and mental fitness grew stronger, so did his physical. Deeran has coined the phrase “It does no good for you to be physically fit and emotionally corrupt, Or to be financially fit and spiritually lost.” Through this process, he also had to make an emotional confession to his conservative family on being bisexual. Although his father could not accept this, Deeran’s announcement set him emotionally and spiritually free and is a proud supporter of the LGBTQ community.

Indeed, Deeran has come a long way in life, but there is still so much of his story that has yet to unfold. Deeran now uses his knowledge/experiences from his studies, life adventures and time on the show, Revenge Body to help other people with accountability, motivation and community to succeed no matter where they are from or where they want to go.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
For a majority of his life, Deeran has felt isolated, alone and with a low self-esteem. He struggled with weight loss and his bisexuality since his early pre-teen years. He was bullied for being different and overweight for many years. He joined the military hoping to lose weight that way. Although he did shed some weight, he gained a lot of it back after leaving the military. His family came from an extremely conservative background so “coming out” to his family and friends was one of the hardest things he had to do.

The Deeran Entertainment Company is a well-rounded company focusing on all aspects of entertainment. Founder and creator Deeran Anderson-Hooper is a “jack of all trades” but is currently most known for being on Revenge Body with Khloe Kardashian.
