Today we’d like to introduce you to Daniel Aroche.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Daniel. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I’ve always developed an interested in electronics.
I like finding all hidden functionalities, troubleshooting when something isn’t right, and repairing them if they’re broken. I repaired my own computers and consoles as a kid growing up. I was the person that took initiative to fix technology especially my own. I became the tech guru of the circle and was the go to guy for anything. I loved to share my knowledge with everybody and would do repairs for my friends and family.
Before I was employed to my first job, when I was 16, I provided a service to make house calls for those who had computer trouble. I wanted to make money as a young one and I knew it would be difficult to get a job while I was still in high school. So I campaigned a “No fix, No pay” service on online classifieds and it worked. I was a specialist at computer cleanups and made sure everybody was happy with their computers’ performance. I was also really good at teaching others how to do everything with their equipment. My patience and passion made my customers happy with my service.
This experience helped me gain confidence to land my first job. My little-to-be known business partner was hired the same day I was and that is how we met. I was still involved with electronics and now was to sell every piece of it. From cell phones, to cases for it, to home theater adapters, to little smart gadgets that enabled you to wirelessly control your home. After a while, my partner and I were promoted to cell phone repair technicians for the company. That was when my next little-to-be known business partner was also hired to join us.
Without planning it, this company played out to be our little playground to mold us before we ready to branch off. We were well-trained and lived the experience to provide this service of repairing cell phones, tablets, and iPads backed by a large corporate. We were very competitive and had remarkable results. After some time, my team and I decided to start the business when this company begin to fail. We saw the opportunity of continuing our skills and trade when the company we worked for could no longer provide it.
After carefully planning out our name and how we should distribute our investment, on a Sunday night around a bonfire, Right There Repair was born. We made it official and ordered our tools and parts. We just started doing it. That is a very important step. We quickly made business cards and immediately started advertising.
We had a vision of greatness. We had fans and supporters who helped us because we wanted to do build something special. We had support from all our old colleagues with continuous referrals to our new business. It was exciting to see that our new phone number was blowing up daily.
We were determined to continue our plan and made the investment for a company vehicle. After testing the waters of our new brand, we knew it would be worth it. We paid more to brand it with a wrap all around it. This officially made us different and created an advantage from the others. We worked off of that for about a year and a half.
With patience and determination, our long term goal of having a storefront finally into play. Having two now, actually, to represent our company. We look forward to the future and will always provide our best efforts to provide the best customer service and expand in numerous ways. Our good intentions have taken us far and brought us many surprises. We are thankful to every person that grew with us and had supported us along the way.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It started out smooth. We loved our business model and we built clientele quickly. Like any trade it starts out feeling like a hobby. Trades should be smooth when you have experience and have a passion for it. It’s not so smooth when it slows down and you already built on expenses. That’s the business part of it. Even though we had little overhead in our beginnings, it gets difficult when we built on expenses and the industry hiccups a little bit. One drawback was when all our cell phone parts went up in pricing so sales slowed down. Also, more and more competition started to pop out. Our mission every day is- how we stand out from the others. What is our niche?
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My company was founded to be one of the only mobile cell phone repair that actually made house, office, or any site visits with a unique built-in workbench inside our mobile truck. We didn’t need to come inside your home, or anywhere. We just parked and handled it there. We carry all our parts, tools, and even accessories to go with your gadgets. We still offer mobile service today.
Now that we have a storefront we can call home, customers can always find us here anytime during business hours. We provide immediate service and welcome any walk ins. Customers can always bring in their devices with any question or trouble they may have.
What I am most proud of is how many cell phones we repaired in that truck. I couldn’t count how many devices we repaired. Every single customer got a solution. We went all the way with our customers. Even if it got frustrating with return visits and longtime repairs we never gave up. I thank my team and myself so much for being consistent.
What were you like growing up?
I loved having friends and family around me. Many friends that I had in elementary school are still around me today. I was also very athletic and participated in different sports as I grew up. I also had many achievements when it came to school.
With all that said, I was not a perfect child. I made many mistakes in my life that I am not so proud of. But I always take everything as a lesson and a challenge to overcome the negative. I made my goals and achieved them my whole life. Everything that happened in my life made me the person that I am so I would not change a thing.
I can look back and see the different paths that I almost took. But it is in my best interest to always challenge the status quo. I try to understand all angles in life and can really put myself into a person’s shoes. This led me to always want to share my wisdom and am always available to help everywhere I can.
