Today we’d like to introduce you to Adriana Camacho.
Hi Adriana, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started creating content back in 2022 when I first moved into my apartment. I was refurbishing furniture to make my space feel like home. I particularly loved getting older pieces of furniture and repurposing them by giving them a new purpose in our modern day. I started filming those projects and sharing them online. I quickly gained a following, and that’s really how my content creation journey started.
Fast forward to now, I’ve been doing this for the past three years, and my content has evolved into DIY, home projects, lifestyle, and supporting small businesses in my community. At the core of everything I do, I really love inspiring people to start small, try something new, and showing them that you don’t need a huge budget or a ton of experience to create something amazing.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
When I first started refurbishing furniture, I was doing everything out of my backyard, so I really had to work around the weather. If it was too hot, the paint would dry too quickly, and if it rained, I couldn’t work outside at all.
There were also challenges with moving and transporting large pieces of furniture, especially doing a lot of it on my own. And then there’s the challenge of actually creating the content while I’m working. I’m not just refurbishing the furniture, I’m also trying to film the process, get the right shots, and tell the story at the same time.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Outside of content creation, I have my own career in education, but online is really where I get to focus on my creative side and share my personal life. I think what sets me apart is that I’m always looking for ways to do things differently and try ideas that people haven’t necessarily seen before. I really enjoy being creative, but more importantly, I love using my platform to help and inspire other people to try something new for themselves.
Are there any important lessons you’ve learned that you can share with us?
I think the biggest lesson I’ve learned is to keep trying, stay consistent, and not give up, even when a project gets difficult. There have been so many times when I’ve wanted to give up halfway through a project, but once I shared the process online and saw the reactions from my audience, it reminded me why I started in the first place.
I’ve also seen so many opportunities come from simply putting myself and my work out there. I honestly don’t think I would be where I am today if I hadn’t been willing to share the process, not just the finished product.
