Lynique Browning Bey shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Lynique , really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
My toddler brings me so much joy watching her grow and watching a carbon copy of my younger self.
It’s been such an adventurous ride being a new mom and every moment has been worth it!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
I’m Lynique Browning Bey, the founder and CEO of MAD Diva Travels & Vacations, a boutique travel agency specializing in curated, luxury, and experience-driven travel. What started as a passion for seeing the world has grown into a full-service brand focused on helping individuals, families, and groups travel with ease, intention, and confidence.
MAD Diva Travels & Vacations is rooted in the belief that travel should feel effortless, elevated, and personal. I pride myself on creating custom itineraries that reflect my clients’ lifestyles—whether that’s a relaxing getaway, a milestone celebration, or a once-in-a-lifetime international experience. Beyond booking trips, I also mentor and empower aspiring travel agents, showing them how travel can be both a passion and a profitable business.
As a mother, entrepreneur, and avid traveler, I’m passionate about exposing my daughter and others to the world early, building global awareness, and creating generational memories through travel. At MAD Diva Travels & Vacations, we don’t just plan trips—we curate experiences where travel meets elegance.
Okay, so here’s a deep one: Who taught you the most about work?
The person who taught me the most about work was the woman who raised me—my great aunt, whom I’ve always known as my mother. She has raised me since I was 3 months old.She ran her own business, Val and Lynique’s Infants and Children’s Wear, and from a very young age, I watched her build something from the ground up with discipline, pride, and consistency.
She taught me that work isn’t just about earning a paycheck—it’s about responsibility, ownership, and integrity. I learned early what it meant to show up every day, treat people well, and take pride in whatever you do, whether someone is watching or not. Seeing her balance entrepreneurship, caregiving, and leadership shaped my work ethic and instilled in me the belief that independence and hard work create options in life.
Everything I do as an entrepreneur today is rooted in the lessons I learned from her—work hard, stand on your word, and build something that lasts.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Trust yourself sooner—and trust your power. You were never asking for too much; you were manifesting what was always meant for you. Your thoughts, your words, your vision—they matter more than you realized. Stay soft, but don’t shrink. Protect your energy, honor your intuition, and speak life into everything you desire. Every delay, detour, and lesson is aligning you with the woman you’re becoming. You were always capable, always chosen, and always creating your reality.
Sure, so let’s go deeper into your values and how you think. What important truth do very few people agree with you on?
That manifestation is real—but it isn’t magic or luck. It’s alignment. What you believe, speak, and consistently act on shapes your reality. Most people think success is random or reserved for the “lucky,” but I know it comes from clarity, discipline, and protecting your energy. When you move with intention, stop settling, and truly believe you deserve more, opportunities begin to meet you halfway. It’s uncomfortable for people to accept because it requires accountability—but once you understand it, everything changes.
Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. When do you feel most at peace?
I feel the most peace when I’m moving at my own pace—unrushed, intentional, and aligned. When I’m traveling, near water, or creating space for myself and my daughter, everything quiets down. Peace shows up when I trust my intuition, protect my energy, and stop explaining myself to people who aren’t meant to understand my journey. In those moments, I’m not chasing or forcing anything—I’m simply present, grateful, and certain that I’m exactly where I’m supposed to be.
