Life & Work with Skye Delamey of Los Angeles

Today we’d like to introduce you to Skye Delamey.

Hi Skye, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
This story goes back to the time I was an infant, fascinated by the piano keys on my dad’s accordion. Then from there, I started playing keyboards, then piano and to this day my love affair with the piano and with music has only grown stronger. The path of my music career chose me, I didn’t choose it. I am entranced with songs daily. To this day I push myself to learn more, expand more, dream more. To break down barriers and to strive for greater excellence, mastery or knowledge. Music is infinite and you can only learn more and train more.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Not giving in to naysayers has been a lesson to learn. Not giving to other people’s negative self projections or judgements. Not being a victim of other people’s negativity in any form. Knowing often other’s negative projections are about their own limitations or perceptions. Rising above being a slave to other’s approval. Standing in my truth as a vessel for my songs. The integrity, truth and beauty of the message that comes thru is what I am always open to receive and communicate. That message is always clear and unfiltered, never judged by other’s approval or opinions.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I am known first and foremost as a musician. A singer songwriter. I am also an actress, trained for most all my life. I am also a pin up as they call it, I am a published writer as well, from the time I was a teenager, to present. There is not a day in my life that i don’t apply towards my career, with music and performance always center stage. I am proud of my many song and album releases, and live performances. I am proud that the stage is my second home, and where I feel so comfortable. I feel proud that I love my audience with all my heart and soul and as an artists, live to serve and help humanity, being the audience. “We are all one under rock,” is a quote I created! The audience is one family, difference do not matter. There is a unity is the emotions we share.
