Hi there,

My name is Audrey Alison. I’d like to share with you a little about myself and my passion for astrology, the tarot and the mystical side of this life. I was born a rebel. I didn’t know it, but I understood always that my path was not a typical one. Conformity on any level made me uncomfortable as a child.

At the age of six, with my pinky linked to my father‘s hand, I purchased my first horoscope scroll from the Quick Check convenient store, for a dime, in my home state of New Jersey. I treasured that tiny, yellow scroll of paper. It pleased me so much that I held onto it until it ended up in shreds in my bed. I anxiously awaited the next month’s scroll. I remember the specific, secretive feeling of looking forward to an unfolding mystery that was being interpreted. Shortly after the introduction to my horoscope, I received my first book about the zodiac and have been devouring them wholeheartedly ever since.

I’ve always thought birthdays were more important than any other holiday. Having a birthday that lands on the first day of summer, generally coinciding with the last day of school, probably contributed to this childhood elation. However, it was really a pull towards astrology that governed my adoration for birthdays over Santa Claus. I’m an only child who found herself drawn to establishing a connection with the emotions of other people and had an early fascination with science, math, music, dance, nature, philosophy and spirituality. I’d question anything I was told and spoke often to animals and nature in the woods where I played.

I’d become aware of some abilities as a young adult who was prone to premonitions and precognitive thinking. I was garnering a highly sensitive soul all the while attending church and confirmation classes on Sundays. I didn’t understand I was an empath until my late teens. I knew what neighbors would knock on the door and what they needed to borrow in advance, just as much as I knew confidently, and quietly, that each one of us was absolutely perfect in our very own mapped out way. Astrology taught me that this is very true from the moment of our birth when we enter the world. That our chosen timestamp is assigned to us and chosen by us to live through and attempt to fulfill and complete during our life path on this earth. Our charts are like fingerprints – unique and imprinted.

After the initial loss of several family members, most significantly my father and his brother, I have had pure visions of spirit, not just with my own relatives who have passed, but with many others. I understand that in which we do not understand, we tend to fear, so I continued reading, committing to my habitual rituals and studying in school. After graduating from college, I drove southwest from one coast to the other to pursue my creative musical passions. Once I reached the heart of the French Quarter, I became connected to the mystic arts, magic and the art of the Tarot. The cards became the tools that I needed to enhance the clairvoyant story of what I could feel. I’ve been reading and interpreting the Tarot for three decades. I’m also a collector of the decks and have studied with some divine High Priestesses, both in the treasure that is the Mojave Desert, and within the dark crevices of the very spirited French Quarter. However, I never neglect the science and the connection that the Tarot has with each zodiac sign, number, planet, element, season and symbol. The multifaceted connection the cards own contributes to the connection with the client within the reading. This totally fascinates me. It also chose me.

I preoccupied a lot of my 20’s and 30’s testing any psychic capabilities that I perceived to be valid while writing hundreds of channeled song lyrics for the music I was involved in creating. I started readings on my porch in Los Angeles, for friends and referrals. I started to attract a celebrity clientele through a salon I had managed in Hollywood. I was referred to provide readings on studio lots for producers and writers in the industry, along with their cast. My side passion and passive income grew into a bigger career than my corporate gig. I took a leap of faith in myself at 40. I enrolled as student and studied with The American Federations of Astrologers. I chose to create my brand and small business, Audrey Alison Astrology + Tarot, in 2013. I quit my job after one full year doing both at full speed. I packed up and drove to the desert to establish my brand, which included a residency at both the Ace Hotel and Casa Cody in Palm Springs, CA and multiple hotel on-site weddings, music festivals and art events.

During the pandemic, I was called home to the woods again. Now in my 50’s, the present brings me home to mom to experience some time that I didn’t while I was as wild as the wind. I have been a member of the International Academy of Astrology, as well as the American Federation of Astrologers, since 2013. As a Gemini/Cancer (29°59’38”) born exactly on the Cusp of Magic, my specific role on this path is that of the empathic messenger. I have mastered my own ability to channel data that I receive from the astral plane. I am a channel, a conduit, a medium who connects information from above to us below. I am grateful every single day for the ability to advise others in an attempt to heal through words and experience while navigating through your astrological data. Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting and fully operating a sole proprietor business is not something that is instantly successful. It takes, focus, determination and perseverance while trusting you are following your instincts and path. That is not always easy. You are training yourself to remain a constant, steadfast, reliable, self-governing person. At times, you may lose other versions of yourself. It’s hard to turn off the business and tune out. .

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
In my business, I incorporate all of my personal creativity, creative sides and outlets. As a singer song-writer, I use all of my personal music projects, songs and vocals to inspire and enhance my intro videos on my YouTube channel: Audrey Alison Astrology + Tarot. I take all of my own photographs of the tarot, nature and scenery for my social media @audreyalison_astrologytarot. If I don’t take them myself, I create them myself. I like having the autonomy and creative control over my business. I also write and communicate my own verbiage on my website and uploaded horoscopes. This business was a creative concept I downloaded internally as a psychic medium in 2012. I knew what I was destined to do.

What makes you happy?
I love my magic time. I am either in nature or in my witchy den where I write, read and express myself thoroughly. I’ve used my connection with spirit to write poetry and songs. I love singing and often record myself. Long baths make me happy, as well as music, the tarot and creating my own deck which I’ve been working on for that last full year.
