Life & Work with Anthony Garcia of Los Angeles / OC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Garcia.

Hi Anthony, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
Life is full of surprises and the path I am on now is definitely a surprise to me. I’ve been a content creator and photographer for the past 3 years now. I am currently 25 years old and if someone were to tell my younger self I’d be in the position I am currently in I would have not believed them. In the past I had no interest or intention of pursuing the career I currently have, I just always wanted to make sure whatever it is that I’m doing for a living I wanted to make sure I love what I do. I can proudly say I love what I do and I have found purpose and passion in my life. I found something I can wake up to everyday and be excited, proud, and grateful for the life I have. It has been an interesting past few years. Ups and downs and a lot of trial and error. Learning as I go and making sure I do everything I possibly can to improve and grow as an entrepreneur and as a person. I have gotten to where I currently am now with perseverance, courage and most importantly patience.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been a great ride. A beautiful and scenic roadtrip, but like any roadtrip it has had its bumps and struggles. For me the biggest struggles on my journey have been the losses I have dealt with. I have lost time with others, I have had to separate myself from those I once considered close to me due to negativity. For me I’ve always been misunderstood, someone who is easy to get along with and very positive but the path I am on is not a common one. It’s one that is hard to comprehend for some and the negative feedback from others is something that can have a toll on your mental health. I will forever and always do what I want in this world and never let others dictate what I do but I will admit it was hard at times dealing with the opinions from loved ones. With time I have gotten used to it and not let it affect me but in the past it was something hard to deal with.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
Content creator and photographer. I am proud of who I am, the path I am on and the experiences I’ve had on this journey. I am a positive influence on others and help people improve their lives in any ways that I possibly can. Through my art of photography, content creation, and the photos and videos that tell a story of who I am and what I love. What sets me apart from others is my story, why I started this and what keeps me going. The passion I have for what I do is like no other and it’s what has helped me succeed.

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising that I’ve never really shared is why I started this. I started content creation through fashion and lifestyle. I used to be bullied in middle school and high school for how I dressed and the type of life I liked to live. Now I get recognized from my sense of style, and my way of living. My past is something I reflect on to keep me going and it is something that I will never forget. I have always tried to use rejection to feel my obsession. Without those hard days of being rejected from others for who I was, I would not be in the position I am today.
