Tauli Anderson shared their story and experiences with us recently and you can find our conversation below.
Tauli, really appreciate you sharing your stories and insights with us. The world would have so much more understanding and empathy if we all were a bit more open about our stories and how they have helped shaped our journey and worldview. Let’s jump in with a fun one: What do the first 90 minutes of your day look like?
The first 90 minutes of my day are dedicated to a consistent and energizing routine that helps me start off strong. I typically wake up around 5:00 AM, take my vitamins, brush my teeth, and wash my face—all before brewing a fresh cup of coffee and heading out for my morning walk. I aim to walk 3–4 miles each morning, and if my work schedule allows, I enjoy an additional walk in the afternoon.
I’m fortunate to live near the beach, so spending time outdoors is especially important to me. Taking in the ocean views, the fresh air, and the natural sounds of the coastline is not just refreshing—it’s grounding and sets a positive tone for the rest of my day.
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hi there! I’m Tauli (pronounced Tah-lee) Anderson, a broadcast journalist based in Southern California, where I launched my career and built strong industry connections.
With experience at respected media outlets such as TMZ, FOX Sports, NFL Network, and FloSports, I’ve developed a versatile skill set across multiple platforms, including television, digital, and live event coverage.
A proud Las Vegas native, my passion for journalism was sparked early, leading me to attend a TV academy in high school and later pursue a degree in journalism at the University of Nevada, Reno. While in Reno, I advanced from intern to associate producer at the local NBC affiliate, covering sports and traveling with the University of Nevada football team. That role gave me hands-on experience shooting highlights, conducting interviews, and crafting compelling stories for nightly broadcasts.
Today, I continue to freelance for various news outlets and have found a unique niche in amplifying the voices of first responders, telling impactful stories that often go unheard. In 2022, I founded TA Production LLC, a small business dedicated to producing high-quality content for agencies across the country—from recruitment campaigns to breaking news and critical incident videos.
No matter the project, my mission remains the same: to tell meaningful stories that make a difference. I’m always here to help.
Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. Who saw you clearly before you could see yourself?
All the credit goes to my late Nonnie, my Italian grandmother who was my biggest cheerleader. She supported me wholeheartedly in everything I did and always saw the “special girl” in me—long before I ever saw it in myself.
She passed away in 2024, but her love and belief in me continue to fuel my drive every single day. I still find myself wishing I could call her to share my latest work, contracts, and adventures. Her presence is deeply missed, but her influence is with me always.
Was there ever a time you almost gave up?
There have been countless moments in my career when I’ve considered closing the chapter. From the constant “no’s” in my TV journalism journey to questioning whether I should continue with my small business—because, truthfully, it’s hard.
What’s kept me going is the unwavering support of my father, staying positive, and lots of prayer. His daily encouragement and thoughtful advice pushed me to keep trying new things and adjust my approach when needed. That steady support, combined with faith and a positive mindset, continues to carry me through even the most challenging times.
So a lot of these questions go deep, but if you are open to it, we’ve got a few more questions that we’d love to get your take on. Is the public version of you the real you?
Yes, yes, and YES! I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s me!
As someone who’s been in the media world since high school—and who grew up watching my favorite local newscasters, later having the chance to meet them in person—I’ve learned just how important it is to stay true to who you are.
Authenticity matters. Whether you’re on-camera or behind the scenes, being the same genuine version of yourself is what builds trust and lasting connections.
Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What will you regret not doing?
Traveling and doing things that make me happy during my downtime and off days. I am a big golfer, but feel sometimes I do not get to the course enough. My biggest regret will be simply, not taking enough time for myself and enoying things I do, while I am not in work mode!
