Life, Values & Legacy: Our Chat with JaiNishia Njie Savage of Las Vegas & LA

We’re looking forward to introducing you to JaiNishia Njie Savage . Check out our conversation below.

JaiNishia, so good to connect and we’re excited to share your story and insights with our audience. There’s a ton to learn from your story, but let’s start with a warm up before we get into the heart of the interview. What is a normal day like for you right now?
My typical day changes, but the foundation of my routine remains the same. I wake up, grab the dog head downstairs for breakfast and coffee. I head outside to my backyard and water my eucalyptus tree and then I’m upstairs to ready for my workday as a retail manager and after work, I digress do yoga or some type of physical activity until I’m able to watch TV with the hubby after

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
So my name is Janisha and by day I am a retail sales manager for a financial services company in California. However, I do have two businesses rooted in the wellness and Beauty space called Love and Happiness sanctuary and Savage finery.

I’m all about living, intentionally and practicing self-care for years. My mental health suffered because I was not taking care of myself and really understanding my emotions.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What relationship most shaped how you see yourself?
I would have to say that there were two relationships that really formed my life one with my grandmother. She always looked out for me and love me unconditionally, and when she passed, it broke my heart that she left way too early, but she is always looking down and I can feel her presents around me

I would have to say the next relationship will be the one that I have with my husband from an early stage in our relationship. He really cared about me emotionally and made sure that I was supported through every crazy and wild dream that II would have to say the next relationship will be the one that I have with my husband from a early stage in our relationship. He really cared about me emotionally and made sure that I was supported through every crazy and wild dream that I had all the way up until this day

What did suffering teach you that success never could?
For me, it taught me that I was actually a little bit more resilient than I was giving myself credit for that. I could figure out a solution with no resources and really have a better sense of self.

Alright, so if you are open to it, let’s explore some philosophical questions that touch on your values and worldview. Is the public version of you the real you?
I think the public version of me is that I’m very outgoing and that I am overly social which in reality the real me is reserved and a very much an introvert.

Okay, we’ve made it essentially to the end. One last question before you go. What do you think people will most misunderstand about your legacy?
I think a lot of a lot of people don’t realize how much hard work I’ve done over the past couple of years and the sacrifice it took for me to get to this place a lot of long nights a lot of early mornings. A lot of sleep lost in this transition of being this version of myself I think, for the most part people think that it was handed to me and it was not.
