Jeff Garcia of Azusa on Life, Lessons & Legacy

We recently had the chance to connect with Jeff Garcia and have shared our conversation below.

Jeff , it’s always a pleasure to learn from you and your journey. Let’s start with a bit of a warmup: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Last year I met a girl. I fell and I fell hard. Long story short she is now my fiancé. I have never felt this much joy ever. So happy to have met her and I am beyond excited to get married next year.

Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Zerohabit Studio is a Photo Booth business I started back in 2020. Just me and the booth traveling from town to town house to house taking pictures and capturing the moment. From house parties to birthday parties and now mostly weddings and business events. I have worked over 100 events in past 5 years. It’s been so much fun meeting people and seeing so much this world has to offer. I will miss the Photo Booth. That being said next year will be my last. I have decided that the last Photo Booth will be my own wedding.

Appreciate your sharing that. Let’s talk about your life, growing up and some of topics and learnings around that. What’s a moment that really shaped how you see the world?
Covid! What a crazy time to be alive. Once some of the restrictions were lifted and we were able to see some faces in person and not through a screen so much joy was had. I saw so many people just happy to see other people. friends, family and of course loved ones. Capturing these moments was the best part of the Photo Booth.

If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
Don’t doubt yourself.

I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a belief you used to hold tightly but now think was naive or wrong?
Money does bring you happiness. Sheet! Give me millions and I’ll be one happy mofo.

Before we go, we’d love to hear your thoughts on some longer-run, legacy type questions. What is the story you hope people tell about you when you’re gone?
In his year book I wrote “never change” and he didn’t
