Exploring Life & Business with Grace Emmons of Forward with Grace

Today we’d like to introduce you to Grace Emmons.

Grace Emmons

Hi Grace, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hi, my name is Grace Emmons. I’m a transformational coach and energy healer based in Los Angeles, with a Master’s Degree in Psychology.

I’ve been trained in many different spiritual and esoteric modalities, and I am passionate about helping people thrive by transforming their views of themselves and their place in the world so they can heal their lives both internally and externally. Much of my work is in support of C-Suite executives, high-level leaders, and entrepreneurs, helping them evolve so they can make a greater positive impact in the world, which creates a ripple effect of change for all of us.

How I got here. I have a long history of struggling with both physical pain and toxic relationships. At age 22, I was addicted to Adderall and had a chronic shoulder pain for which no doctor could help identify a solution for me to get better. I was working as a business development consultant in the pharma and biotech industry and had a very high-powered and high-stress job while also dealing with an abusive partnership at home in my personal life. When I finally started to look at myself and recognized that this path was no longer sustainable, I turned inward to start finding my own way versus letting everything else around me dictate my path.

A friend from my local gym had recently been trained in reiki around this time and was looking for clients to practice on. I asked her for a session to help with my shoulder pain, and in our first session, it not only healed my shoulder pain, but it also connected me to a part of myself that had been lying dormant for a long time. Over the course of a few sessions, I realized how much of my life was imbalanced and that the part of me that was truly needing attention was my heart and my soul. This began my long journey into inner work and discovery, which led me to master many different modalities (reiki, astrology, kabbalah, and more) and to obtain an Ivy League education investigating mind-body-spirit science, and ultimately guided me to leave the career I was in to help empower others to reclaim their potential to create their lives and pave their own path. This is the work I am truly so passionate about, and I feel more driven and guided than ever to bring to the world.

I am also a wife, mother of two beautiful girls, and own properties with my husband where we host retreats, events, trainings and overnight stays.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way? Looking back, would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Taking huge leaps is never easy! Jumping from the corporate ladder that I had invested so many years into climbing was a major trust fall into belief in myself and my inner guidance. I walked away from over a quarter million a year, benefits, and security to launch my own venture that, while it aligned with my deepest passions and purpose, was pushing the limits of what anyone around me could understand or get behind. Consulting high-level leaders and their companies on topics like transformation, mindset, holistic well-being, inner guidance, spirituality, and energy healing. That can’t be done, they said. But it was at this point that I stopped worrying about the “shoulds” and the “logical choices,” and I finally surrendered fully to trusting in my own path above all else. I knew there could be no greater fulfillment, abundance, and success than taking the chance on my own dreams… the dream of helping transform others like me from struggling to thriving. And now, years later, I couldn’t be more grateful and proud that I made that leap.

As a multi-passionate entrepreneur and mother of two young girls, creating and running businesses in integrity with my values means prioritizing balance and well-being for myself and those on my teams. Even with my direct experience of burnout, it can be easy to fall back into patterns of hustling and grinding, and I’ve seen so many women move into the wellness industry just to burnout all over again. It’s of utmost importance to me to create the life of my dreams, which means operating successful world-changing businesses while not sacrificing my own balance or boundaries. It’s not easy building new paradigms of life and work, but I hope to be a living example of a woman who loves and enjoys her life, is present and giving to her family, has deep and rich relationships, runs fulfilling and ethical businesses, and is impacting the world for the better in every way she can.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about Forward with Grace?
My boutique consultancy. Forward with Grace is mission-driven and world-changing. We know that inner transformation drives outer change, and by activating leaders to evolve, we create ripple effects of positive impact through their businesses, their spheres of influence, and beyond.

We offer corporate packages of leadership development, team building, corporate wellness seminars, and retreats, as well as private coaching containers for entrepreneurs, high-profile creatives, and purposeful leaders across industries. Our secret sauce is the transformative energy healing methods we blend into intuitively guided evidence-based programming.

Our brand values are core to everything we do ~ shining in authenticity, open-mindedness, acting with love, serving with integrity.

In taking my consultancy to the next level, I’ve been challenged to step up and show more of myself, leaning into carving out space with my personal brand. As someone who’s been camera shy and private her whole life, this has been a learning curve for me but also an area of growth and opportunity. I realize people will choose Forward with Grace when they know and respect the woman at the helm, and that means being willing to let people see me. My purpose with what I share on my social media @forwardwgrace and through my blog www.forwardwgrace.com/the-forward-blog/ is always to inspire and to shine authentically.

My husband and I also created the Topanga Canyon Oasis, a boutique retreat and gathering space that serves as venue for intentional events and small retreats. We host facilitators, creatives, seekers, and more from all over the world. Check it out and book a stay at www.topangacanyonoasis.com and @topangacanyonoasis on IG.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs, or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Books: Anything on Audible ~ As a busy mom, I don’t have a lot of extra time for reading. I appreciate being able to listen to those titles I’ve been meaning to read on the way back from drop-off, while on a walk with my dog, or as I’m cooking or cleaning up around the house.

Podcast: Weekly Energy Boost ~ For the mystic who loves personal growth… I love the easy-to-understand lessons and practical tips in navigating the energies of the cosmos week to week.

Natural Cycles ~ Part of my own healing journey has been honoring the ebbs and flows of my energy monthly. With smart devices and apps, it’s easy to track where I’m at hormonally day to day. I absolutely plan my clients, trips, and self-care around my monthly rhythms, as every woman should!
