Daily Inspiration: Meet Stephanie Cuevas

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie Cuevas.

Stephanie Cuevas

Hi Stephanie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
Hello! My name is Stephanie Cuevas, and I’m a proud disabled Mexican lesbian from the vibrant and culturally rich streets of South Central LA. I’m a first-generation college graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from USC (fight on!), all earned through a full academic scholarship. Growing up, I didn’t have the same resources as many of my peers at USC, and that shaped me into someone who values hard work, resilience, and pride in my culture and accomplishments.

My parents instilled in me the belief that support and determination could take me far, and that foundation inspired me to chase joy in everything I do—especially in my love for makeup and Disneyland. What started as a simple hobby turned into a side hustle on TikTok, where I share my passion for beauty, my heritage, my disability, and, of course, my love for Disney. I’m grateful that I get to connect with so many people over the things that make me, me.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It’s definitely been a journey to get to where I am. I’m not a big or famous content creator by any means—I only recently started taking content creation seriously. For a long time, I thought, “Who would care about what this chunky, broke Mexican girl has to say or do?” I didn’t think success as a content creator was possible for someone like me—someone who isn’t white or wealthy. It can be done, but there are undoubtedly more obstacles for people who look like me.

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I create fun and lighthearted TikToks about the things I’m genuinely passionate about: makeup, fashion, my culture, and Disneyland. I’ve even been labeled a “Disney Adult,” and honestly, I embrace it! I call them “silly little TikToks” because I try not to take myself too seriously—I want to be my authentic self and connect with people in a real way. If people are going to be influenced by anything I share, I want it to be because it’s something I truly believe in, not just something I’m saying for a brand deal or to look good. I value my audience and the trust they place in me.

What quality or characteristic do you feel is most important to your success?
Authenticity is at the heart of everything I do because I believe it’s the most important quality for a content creator to have. Being genuine allows me to connect with people on a deeper level and build meaningful relationships with individuals I might never have had the chance to meet otherwise.

When I’m true to myself—whether I’m sharing my love for makeup, celebrating my culture, or geeking out over Disneyland—I create a space where others feel seen and understood. Authenticity fosters trust, and that trust is what makes my work as a content creator fulfilling. It’s not just about making videos; it’s about creating connections, inspiring others, and building a community where people feel valued for who they are. For me, that’s what makes content creation so rewarding.
