Daily Inspiration: Meet Michael

Today we’d like to introduce you to Michael.

Hi Michael, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
CÜLTIVATED Productions started with me and two of my close friends, Zach Puente and James Ferrell. We’re all photographers and videographers who have always shared a love for creating and capturing moments through photo and video.
What started simply as something we genuinely enjoyed doing together naturally grew over time. We continued building our skills, taking on new projects, meeting new people, and pushing ourselves creatively. Through word of mouth, relationships, and a lot of hard work, CÜLTIVATED eventually became what it is today.

We’ve been fortunate to work on everything from real estate and weddings to events, music videos, branded content, and other creative projects. At the end of the day, we’re still three close friends who love creating together, and we’re excited to continue growing CÜLTIVATED and seeing where it takes us.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Like any business, it definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been learning how to turn something we love creatively into a growing business. There’s been a lot of trial and error, long days, and learning as we go.

The creative industry is always changing, so we’re constantly adapting, learning new things, and pushing ourselves to improve. But honestly, those challenges have been a big part of what’s helped us grow and get CÜLTIVATED to where it is today.

Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
At CÜLTIVATED Productions, we specialize in photography and videography across a wide range of projects, including real estate, weddings, events, music videos, branded content, and more. We’ve always loved being able to create in different environments and bring each client’s vision to life in our own creative way.

What we’re most proud of is the relationships we’ve built along the way. A lot of our clients have been with us for years, and much of our growth has come through referrals and word of mouth.

What sets us apart is that we genuinely care about every project we take on. No matter how big or small, we want the final product to be something both we and our clients are excited about. We’re always looking for ways to improve, try something new, and continue growing creatively.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I think taking risks is a big part of building something of your own. For us, one of the biggest risks was simply believing in CÜLTIVATED and putting our time, energy, and resources into turning something we loved into a real business.

Working in a creative industry can be unpredictable, but we’ve always tried to look at that as an opportunity rather than something to be afraid of. Whether it’s taking on a project we’ve never done before, investing in ourselves, or trying something completely new creatively, we’ve learned that some of our best opportunities have come from being willing to take that chance.
