Today we’re excited to be connecting with Thiago Vitorio again. If you haven’t already, we suggest you check out our prior conversation with them here.
Thiago, we are so thrilled to be connecting again and can’t wait to hear about all the amazing things you have been up to. Before we jump into all of that, some of our readers might have missed our prior interview, so can you take a moment to reintroduce yourself?
Hello, and thank you for reconnecting with me. For those who may not be familiar with my background, I am a Brazilian musician specialized in piano performance, arranging, and music education. I hold two music degrees: one in Music Education from Barra Mansa University and another in Piano Performance and Contemporary Arranging from Berklee College of Music.
Some notable highlights of my journey are an international tour I undertook in 2013, the opportunity to perform alongside some of my favorite artists, including Milton Nascimento and Toninho Horta, the privilege of recording at the prestigious Avatar Studios in New York and during my time at Berklee, I developed a unique piano method designed to enhance improvisation, timing, harmony, technique, and the ability to play with freedom. This method was featured in The Berklee Groove, the college’s newspaper, underscoring its innovative approach to music education.
What sets me apart is this fusion of performance and pedagogy, allowing me to connect with a diverse audience. Currently, I am channeling my experiences into my solo career, diligently working on my debut album. I am eager to share this new chapter with you and hope you will join me on this artistic journey.
Great, so let’s jump into an update on what you have been up to since we last spoke. What can you share with us?
It’s been a wild ride lately! Long story short, I’ve grown my online business way beyond what I ever imagined—my courses and eBooks now reach over 5,000 students around the world. It’s been so fulfilling to share what I know and see how it’s making a real difference in people’s lives.
On top of that, I took a big leap and became a pianist on a cruise ship in the Bahamas. That experience didn’t just push me as a musician—it reminded me of something I’ve always known: the stage is where I’m meant to be. Performing in such an incredible setting made me fall in love with music all over again.
Now that I’m back on land, I’m all in on my solo artist career. I just released my debut single, and this is only the beginning. There’s an album in the works, and I’m putting everything I’ve got into it.
This journey has been full of challenges, breakthroughs, and so many lessons, but I’m loving every bit of it. I’m growing, evolving, and embracing what’s ahead, both as an artist and as a person.

Was there a moment in your career that you can tell us about that illustrates or demonstrates the kind of person you are, your approach, ethos, etc.
Oh yeah!
There was this moment on the cruise that completely shifted my perspective. I was in my room, reading a book called Lighter, when I stumbled upon something far greater than words on a page—I found clarity within myself. It wasn’t dramatic, but it was one of those quiet, life-changing realizations. It was as if a light had been switched on, revealing the layers I had been carrying, many of which didn’t align with who I truly am. I understood that all the answers I’d been searching for were already within me—I just hadn’t been looking deep enough. I needed to drop the masks, stop pretending, and be fully honest with myself, no matter how uncomfortable that might feel.
That day, I came face to face with what I am and what I thought I was, and from that moment, I’ve been on a journey of aligning my heart with my beliefs. I’m much clearer now about the kind of life I want to live—one that’s true, purposeful, and fully dedicated to answering God’s call for my life with excellence. Not in a religious or traditional sense, but in a way that brings me real peace. It’s not about labels or rules; it’s about being grounded in my true self and resting in that connection with Him.
That moment didn’t just change how I see myself—it reshaped how I approach life and my work. It reminded me that real growth starts inside, and from that foundation, I want my life and art to reflect something far greater than myself. It’s a process, but one I’m excited to keep leaning into every day.
