Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Garcia

Hi Lindsey, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
It all started with a rave, Beyond Wonderland, where I met my now husband. He accidentally stepped on my foot, we both fell in love and it’s been all uphill since then.
I was working as a server and just after three months, I moved in with him. I knew he was the one.
With relocating, I had to find a new job. I applied for tons of serving jobs but didn’t hear back for some reason (no big!) Everything happens for a reason.
I got the job as a Delivery Courier for Amazon in Inglewood; at the time, I didn’t have a car of my own, so I biked it all the way from Paramount, having to cross rough neighborhoods late at night, primarily Compton. Some days, I would take the bus home, but most of the time I biked it (15.8 miles/or almost 2 hrs by bike).
My mother-in-law helped my husband and I to get our first joint car, “Curt Carbain”, which I now use for transportation (Thank God), but every once and a while I have to stop and appreciate that I actually have a car to get around in. God is good, there’s no doubt about that. I am also grateful for such a supportive husband; he is my rock, my backbone, my twin flame, my soulmate, my better half, my everything.
He encouraged me to try out for the post office because I was told that it would be better; I got the job and transferred over only to end up with a neck injury that still bothers me to this day. “The grass is greener,” so they say.
This would lead to me looking for employment elsewhere; I worked with children with special needs ranging from 1 year old to 14 years old, which didn’t workout for me, so I found something that I was passionate about– working with dogs.
I’ve been running a Professional Pet Care Business for the past almost four years now- “Flourishing Furbabies” (the name has changed over time, but I think I will stick with the current name now as well as my logo; I’ve also gotten my International Dog Training Certificate from QC Pet Studies Subsidiary School; looking for the right place to put that to use.
Randomly, God has also pointed me in the direction of “Travel” and a job opening on LinkedIn led me to what I am also doing right now; I am a Professional Travel Agent/CEO for “Go With Venus” (gowithvenus.com for more info) as an independent contractor for Archer Evolution Travel! I am truly loving learning more about travel, saving, positively thriving and having co-workers/leaders who all want you to succeed.
I couldn’t ask for a better opportunity. I am truly blessed and grateful to be where I am right now and to have what I have/enjoying the journey. I barely started 3 months ago in April and am excited to see where this journey takes me!

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Struggles along the way were mentioned previously- probably transportation, but it makes me truly appreciate what I have now. I should be even more grateful. God is truly amazing. And like I said earlier, I’ve had such a great support system in my husband. He believed in me when nobody did, not even myself sometimes!

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I run two businesses:
1) “Flourishing Furbabies”- I provide Professional Pet Care for cats and dogs; I groom (toothbrushing, hair trimming, nail trimming, blow drying), walk/fitness (for both cats and dogs), do drop-ins and occasional sitting. Eventually, I would like to add Dog Training to the mix because I’ve just received my International Dog Training Certificate from QC Pet Studies Subsidiary School last October!

My husband, God, my family (including furbabies- 4 dogs/1 cat/1 snake)!
They all complete me! I am passionate and do what I do for them, to make a better life; they motivate me to do better every day!
