We appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
DEAD YOU was established in the summer of 2023. Our latest single, ‘The Right Idea’ is now streaming everywhere music is available!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Time management and scheduling is something we take very seriously. That is probably the number 1 obstacle we are consistently up against. It’s not always easy but we continue to make it work. Everyone care’s about this project equally and we all pour our energy and time into it daily.

As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
DEAD YOU is a post hardcore punk band from Mid-City Los Angeles. We have been actively recording music and playing shows since summer 2024. We do not sound like our influences or like we belong to any one specific genre. We take pride in the songs that we write and the stories we tell. We are all inclusive and write songs for everyone no matter what they subscribe too or identify with. We write with an attitude and intention to seek truth.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Movies and music have played an integral role in all of our lives since we were young. The influence is felt in our content. We often pull ideas from our favorite media and find a way to fit it into the story that we are telling. All 3 of us are Leos all born within a week of each other. I think the 3 of us are all very head strong, yet like minded individuals. Anything alternative music wise and comedy is huge for us when it comes to film.
