Conversations with the Inspiring Tammy Ritter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tammy Ritter.

Tammy, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I began my journey in the field of Holistic Health and Healing in 1998. After struggling through my own healing of trauma, and getting myself to a place where I could live a happy and productive life, I wanted to be a catalyst for others to get to that place. I began my career as a Massage Therapist, Reiki Master, and a Certified Hypnotherapist. At the same time, I managed the health and wellness center that I was working at. My career has gone through many transformations over the years and has changed focus from when I first started as a young woman in my early ’20s to now. I was finding that people laying on my massage table not only had physical pain but also deeply emotional and spiritual wounds. As I laid my hands on them, I was able to feel their pain, distress, and see visions of trauma that they had been through. That’s where the Intuitive healing work entered in. I was not only able to help their physical pain, but also track the emotional component and help them to clear it. I began started working for a local hospice on the side in 2010. I have helped many of our patients through my skills as an intuitive healer release past trauma so they are able to pass to the other side peacefully. In my hospice work, loving family members from the other side began to appear. I began taking classes on Mediumship with a wonderful mentor. She helped me to navigate through my own religious fears that had been instilled in me from a young age that we’re holding me back from allowing my gifts to fully develop. Going back to when I had bought my first set of tarot cards at 22 years old, my Mom had sent me to a priest! That was not a bad thing because that priest taught me about spiritual gifts and although he wasn’t too fond of the tarot cards, encouraged me to embrace my spiritual gifts. And my mom has come a long way since then! She’s very supportive of my spiritual gifts now and the healing that I bring to the world. I still do massage. And people also come to see me now strictly for Reiki Healing, Mediumship & Bereavement, and Clairvoyant Readings. My deep spiritual beliefs along with my compassion for people, and sense of pride in my work has helped me to be who I have become today.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has not been a smooth road. There were a few years where I really got burned out. I was giving too much of myself and didn’t know how to receive. I thought I had to be perfect and be everything to everyone at all times. I learned to say no. I learned to ask for help. I learned to receive. When I do my intuitive work, I receive messages from the other side. That was yet another lesson in learning to receive, and not to block the good that was coming to me. Because it was not only holding back my blessings but blessings that I was to deliver or receive from others.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into your story. Tell us more about it.
I’m an Empathic Healer, Psychic Reader, Reiki Master, and a Board Certified Massage Therapist. I specialize in trauma, relationship wounds, and bereavement healing. I am able to help the client identify the blocks that are holding them back from their healing and bring light to their past or present traumas so that they can walk into their future no longer carrying their burden. In my bereavement healing mediumship sessions, I focus on helping individuals to heal what needs to be healed with their loved one that has passed. In a Clairvoyant Reading session, the client brings me questions or concerns about their life. The questions may involve career, finances, relationships or other areas of their life that they need help finding clarity on. Together, with the help of divine guidance, we are able to find the answers or resolution that they are looking for, outcomes are never written in stone. We all have the ability to change our circumstances and live a better future, my clients leave me feeling like they can breathe again with a deep sense of purpose in their life. I love my career because people are always happy to see me!

What do you feel are the biggest barriers today to female leadership, in your industry or generally?
I believe the biggest barriers today to female leadership is the barriers we place on ourselves. Like believing that we are not good enough as we are. One day, you will realize that you are exactly the way you were meant to be.
