Conversations with the Inspiring Sabrina Robinson

Today we’d like to introduce you to Sabrina Robinson.

Sabrina, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got started on the business side of the Spa industry working in Corporate Sales during that time, I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and worked for a top makeup company in their Spa division. I then went on to do Makeup in Europe for three years before returning back to the states and getting into the skincare industry full time. I received my Esthetics license from Paul Mitchell and started my skincare business soon after.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has not been a smooth ride but it has been a fulfilling one. Self-doubt and striving for perfection almost make me quit every day but I just keep pushing and doing what I can to be the best me every day.

My advice for young women starting in this career is to have passion, be humble, and know that you need to always learn. Every circumstance and obstacle can teach you something valuable and when you feel like quitting, take a breath and push through.

Alright – so let’s talk business.  What else should we know about you and your career so far?
I am an Esthetician. I specialize in Acne treatments, Chemical Peels and skincare for all skin tones. I am probably most known for my Acne program and the before and afters that come with it!

It would be great to hear about any apps, books, podcasts or other resources that you’ve used and would recommend to others.
I’m always learning so I take advanced education courses from a multitude of skincare brands. I really love the online courses that California Skincare Supply and Glymed Plus have. I also love the Dermalogica IDI institute classes.
