Today we’d like to introduce you to King Patricia Rosa.
Hi King Patricia, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
My entrepreneurial and healing journey started long before I had a business name. I am the oldest daughter of immigrant and refugee parents from El Salvador, and I learned at a very young age what it meant to work hard, be resourceful, and create opportunities for myself and others.
I started hustling at just 13 years old when I created my own little babysitting business in the apartment complex where I lived. Many of the mothers worked night shifts, and I saw an opportunity to help care for their children while they worked. I remember creating a simple advertisement and placing it in the laundry room with little tear-off strips with my phone number. Looking back, that was one of my first experiences realizing that I could identify a need in my community and create something to meet it.
That same spirit eventually led me into a career centered around helping young people and families. I worked as a Case Manager in the Inland Empire at a youth center, where I supported approximately 500 young people, including youth involved with probation, young people experiencing homelessness, and youth who had been impacted by human trafficking. This was some of the most meaningful work of my life. I loved being able to advocate for young people and remind them that their circumstances did not have to determine their future.
Then 2020 brought one of the hardest chapters of my life. I experienced a divorce, became a single mother, faced bankruptcy, and survived two serious car accidents. One of the accidents left me with chronic back pain and a severe concussion. My physical and emotional health were deeply affected.
From 2021 through 2023, I worked three jobs while raising my daughter as a single mother. There were many sleepless nights when I was exhausted physically and emotionally, but I kept going because I was determined to provide for my daughter and create stability for our future. I was in survival mode, but I was also learning just how resilient I could be.
After my accident, I struggled at work and was written up because I wasn’t performing at the level I had before. Eventually, I found an online position as a Warmline Peer Counselor, providing emotional support and resources to people throughout California. I loved that work because I was able to use my own experiences to connect with and support people who were going through difficult moments. Unfortunately, I was eventually laid off because of budget cuts.
At the same time, I was confronting childhood trauma and emotional wounds I had carried for years. After my divorce and surviving a very painful breakup, I reached a point where I was struggling deeply with my mental health and became suicidal. That was a pivotal moment in my life. I realized I could no longer ignore the parts of myself that needed healing.
That realization became the beginning of my holistic healing journey.
I began exploring Reiki, prayer, meditation, nature, spirituality, sound therapy, aromatherapy, and other practices that helped me reconnect with my mind, body, and spirit. Through my travels, including my time in Egypt, I was introduced to Egyptian Reiki practices and aromatherapy, which expanded my understanding of energy, intention, ritual, and spiritual connection. I also completed training in Sound Therapy.
My healing was not an overnight transformation. It became a road—a daily decision to keep going, to listen to my body, to work through my trauma, and to find meaning in what I had survived. Living with chronic back pain has also taught me that healing does not always mean that everything physically disappears. Sometimes healing means learning how to care for yourself, adapt, and continue living fully despite what your body has endured.
That journey eventually led to the creation of King Rosa Wellness, LLC.
What makes King Rosa Wellness, LLC, deeply personal to me is the desire to help people step away from the constant noise of modern life and reconnect with themselves. We spend so much of our lives surrounded by phones, social media, work, technology, and the demands of everyday life that we can become disconnected from our own bodies.
During my own healing, I discovered the power of simply going outside, being in nature, slowing down, breathing, becoming still, and actually listening to what my body was telling me. Nature became part of my healing—not as an escape from life, but as a way to reconnect with it.
That experience became a major part of my vision for King Rosa Wellness, LLC. I want to create intentional wellness experiences where people can put down the phone, step away from their media life, go outside, slow down, breathe, listen to their bodies, and create space to heal.
My goal is to remind people that wellness does not always have to happen inside a doctor’s office, a gym, or behind a screen. Sometimes healing can begin with a quiet moment under a tree, a walk in the mountains, sitting near the ocean, prayer, meditation, or simply giving yourself permission to be still.
Today, I bring together my professional background in behavioral health, peer support, Human advocacy, and trauma-informed care with my personal experiences of survival and healing. Through King Rosa Wellness, LLC; I create experiences that encourage people to slow down, reconnect with themselves, spend time in nature, and explore healing in a way that honors the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
When I look back, I realize that the little girl who put an advertisement in her apartment laundry room at 13 was already becoming the woman I am today. I have always been someone who sees a need, finds a way to help, and creates something from what I have.
My journey has not been perfect, and I am still healing. But I have learned that our hardest chapters don’t have to be the end of our story. Sometimes they become the very chapters that reveal who we are, why we are here, and who we are meant to serve.
I survived. I kept going. And now, I want to help others discover that they can keep going too.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it has definitely not been a smooth road. I have experienced seasons where I felt like I was simply trying to survive one day at a time.
One of my greatest challenges was going through a divorce while becoming a single mother and trying to remain financially stable. I experienced bankruptcy, worked three jobs from 2021 to 2023, and endured many sleepless nights trying to provide for my daughter. At the same time, I was dealing with the physical consequences of two car accidents, including chronic back pain and a serious concussion.
There were moments when my physical health, financial struggles, career, and emotional health all seemed to collide at once. Losing my job as an online Warmline Peer Counselor because of budget cuts was another difficult transition because I genuinely loved being able to support people throughout California.
I have also experienced profound grief. I have experienced the loss of a pregnancy through miscarriage, and I am currently grieving the loss of my adopted son. These experiences have taught me that grief is not limited to losing someone we love. Grief can come in many forms—the loss of a loved one, the loss of a child, the loss of a relationship, the loss of a career, the loss of financial security, the loss of our health, or even the loss of who we once believed ourselves to be.
I have experienced many of these forms of loss personally, and although I would never say that my pain is exactly the same as someone else’s, it has given me a deeper level of compassion for people walking through their own grief. I understand what it feels like to have to keep functioning while carrying something incredibly heavy inside.
I also had to confront childhood trauma and emotional wounds that I had carried for years. After my divorce and a painful breakup, my mental health became very fragile, and I reached a point where I became suicidal. That was one of the darkest periods of my life, but it also became a turning point. I realized that I could continue surviving, or I could begin intentionally healing.
Healing required me to slow down and listen to myself in a way I had never done before. Through prayer, Reiki, meditation, nature, sound, aromatherapy, and learning to listen to my body, I began rebuilding myself mentally, physically, and spiritually.
I still live with chronic pain, and I still experience grief. I still have difficult days. I don’t believe healing means that life suddenly becomes perfect. For me, healing means learning how to move forward without abandoning myself.
The challenges I have experienced have ultimately shaped the way I approach King Rosa Wellness, LLC. They taught me that people don’t always need someone to “fix” them. Sometimes they need a safe space to breathe, slow down, be heard, grieve, reconnect with themselves, and remember that they are still here.
The road has been difficult, but it has also given me a deeper purpose: to take what I have survived and use it to create spaces where others can feel supported through their own seasons of loss, healing, and transformation.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
King Rosa Wellness, LLC is more than a wellness business to me—it is a lifestyle, a healing philosophy, and a vision for connecting people with themselves, nature, different cultures, and communities around the world.
I created King Rosa Wellness, LLC from my own healing journey. After experiencing trauma, grief, divorce, physical injuries, burnout, and major life transitions, I discovered how important it is to slow down, step away from the constant demands of everyday life, and reconnect with our mind, body, and spirit. My goal is to help others experience that same sense of restoration.
King Rosa Wellness, LLC currently provides one-on-one wellness experiences, Reiki sessions, nature-based healing experiences, and wellness services for corporate organizations, nonprofits, groups, and communities. I combine my professional background in behavioral health, peer support, human advocacy, and trauma-informed care with holistic practices such as Reiki, meditation, grounding, prayer, aromatherapy, sound therapy, nutrition, movement, and time in nature.
One of the things that sets King Rosa Wellness, LLC apart is that I don’t believe wellness should only happen inside a traditional wellness studio. Sometimes we need to leave the building, put down our phones, step away from our media lives, breathe fresh air, eat nourishing food, move our bodies, experience nature, and simply listen to what our bodies are telling us.
I have also had the opportunity to take my wellness work internationally. I provided one-on-one Reiki in Kenya and facilitated Reiki for a group of hotel employees experiencing burnout in Fiji. These experiences showed me that burnout, stress, disconnection, and the need for restoration are not limited to one country or culture.
My vision is to take King Rosa Wellness, LLC worldwide.
In June 2026, I traveled to Kenya and participated in missionary work at Kimogoru SDA Academy, where I taught English, poetry, and Spanish to fifth- and sixth-grade students. That experience completely expanded my vision of what wellness could become.
I realized that wellness can also mean traveling, learning, resting, experiencing another culture, sharing a meal, and giving back.
I am currently developing a 10-day international wellness and cultural travel experience where participants could travel to destinations such as Egypt, Kenya, and other beautiful places around the world. The goal is to create an experience where travelers can rest, enjoy home-cooked meals, learn about the history and culture of the community they are visiting, participate in wellness activities, explore the destination, and contribute through meaningful service or missionary opportunities.
I want people to return home not only rested, but changed by what they experienced and connected to a world beyond their own.
That is what I believe will make King Rosa Wellness, LLC unique. It isn’t just about wellness—it is about wellness through experience. It is about creating balance through food, movement, nature, travel, culture, spirituality, education, and service.
I am also developing a King Rosa Wellness, LLC product line inspired by my travels and love of sensory experiences, including scented rose candles, fragrance oils for both men and women, and a tea collection. My experiences in Egypt especially influenced my interest in fragrance and aromatherapy. I believe scent can completely transform the atmosphere around us and create a feeling of comfort, beauty, grounding, and connection.
As a tea lover, I am also passionate about creating teas that can become part of people’s daily wellness rituals—from morning blends designed to provide a natural sense of energy and intention to evening blends created to encourage relaxation and a peaceful nighttime routine. My goal is to educate people about creating simple, intentional rituals that support their overall well-being and nervous-system regulation.
Beyond wellness services and products, I am also working on a book inspired by my own life story and transformation. The book explores my experience as the daughter of immigrants and refugees from El Salvador, growing up with a conservative upbringing, becoming a minister’s wife, navigating relationships—including a relationship with an ex-felon—and ultimately learning how to love myself and reclaim my identity.
The deeper theme of the book is transformation—from victim to victor. It explores the experiences, choices, relationships, pain, and lessons that shaped me and ultimately pushed me to look within, heal, and discover my own worth.
I believe storytelling is another form of healing. By sharing parts of my story, I hope someone else who has experienced trauma, difficult relationships, loss, or simply felt disconnected from themselves can recognize that their story does not have to end where their pain began.
What I am most proud of about the King Rosa brand is that it comes from lived experience. I am not simply telling people to slow down, take care of themselves, or reconnect with nature. I have had to learn how to do those things myself.
King Rosa Wellness, LLC is still growing, but my vision is very large: to create a worldwide wellness community where people can heal, travel, learn, rest, eat well, move their bodies, experience nature, connect with different cultures, and give back.
I want people to understand that wellness is not just about looking healthy on the outside. It is about caring for the whole being—mind, body, spirit, relationships, environment, and sense of purpose.
And sometimes, wellness means simply giving yourself permission to stop, breathe, reconnect, and experience life again.
Can you talk to us a bit about happiness and what makes you happy?
What makes me happy is experiencing life and being able to share that joy with other people. After going through some very difficult seasons, I have learned not to take the simple things for granted.
I find a lot of happiness in nature—being outside, feeling the sun, walking, breathing fresh air, sitting quietly, and allowing myself to slow down. Nature has become a place where I can reconnect with myself and listen to my body. It reminds me that I don’t always have to be doing something; sometimes I can simply be present.
I also love traveling and experiencing different cultures. There is something beautiful about stepping outside of what you know, tasting someone’s food, learning their history, hearing their stories, and realizing how much bigger the world is than our everyday routine. My travels to places like Egypt, Kenya, and Fiji have given me some of the most meaningful experiences of my life.
I am happiest when I am creating—whether I am writing poetry, developing a new wellness experience, making fragrances and candles, preparing food, drinking tea, or dreaming about where King Rosa Wellness , LLC can go next. I love taking an idea that lives in my mind and turning it into something that other people can experience.
Most of all, helping people makes me happy. Whether I’m sitting with someone during a Reiki session, listening to someone who needs support, teaching young people, sharing a meal, or simply encouraging someone who is going through a difficult time, I feel fulfilled when I know I have made someone feel seen or reminded them that they matter.
I also find happiness in my daughter, family, friendships, faith, and the small moments that make life beautiful.
After experiencing loss, grief, trauma, physical pain, and seasons where I wasn’t sure how I was going to keep going, happiness means something different to me now. I don’t believe happiness means that everything in life has to be perfect.
For me, happiness is peace.
It’s waking up and being grateful that I get another day.
It’s laughing.
It’s traveling somewhere new.
It’s being surrounded by nature.
It’s eating good food and sharing it with someone.
It’s creating.
It’s loving.
It’s praying.
It’s having the freedom to be myself.
Lastly, doing art like black and white photography & learning the electric guitar.
And sometimes, happiness is simply realizing, “I made it through another chapter, and I’m still here.”
