Today we’d like to introduce you to Wesley Rinhart.
Hi Wesley, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
I’ve been on my own since I was 13 , I found myself through the art of drag! Drag has always been something that fascinated me , at 15, I Saw my very first drag queen and the rest is history, I host shows and various events across the PNW now! I am a completely self made artist and I come from the bottom of the barrel , I have a history of struggles with addiction and I overcame it with the help of my community and proper counseling ! I survived because of Feather Dusted , without her there would be no me!
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I was kicked out as a kid , I have had to survive in many different and complex ways! It has never been an easy road, However I did it all with a smile and a kind heart!
As you know, we’re big fans of you and your work. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about what you do?
I am very unique because I don’t pretend to be someone that I am not, Authenticity is my. Motto! I love myself and have a lot of great fun new ideas! I’ve been performing for 13 years now and I wouldn’t have it any other way! My best achievement to date is producing a drag experience for others to enjoy. I am an activist and an outspoken advocate for anyone without a voice! I was apart of Occupy ICE PHL as well! I’m very proud of that achievement, that’s actually where the name “Feather” came from!
How do you think about luck?
I tend to be very lucky! I’ve found that when you live authentically and you stand for yourself people want to know more!
