Check Out Ronda Jackson’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ronda Jackson. They and their team shared their story with us below:

Ronda Jackson

Embodying the spirit of a third-generation entrepreneur, Ronda Jackson seamlessly blends legacy with contemporary innovation. Her journey with Décor Interior Design, Inc. began by catering to residential aesthetics. Navigating through the tumultuous waters of the housing crisis, she pivoted her focus towards a federal and commercial clientele, offering unmatched interior designs and facility solutions.

Ronda’s newest venture, Studio D Contract Finishes, is not just about colors and coatings. As a proud Benjamin Moore distributor, this enterprise is emblematic of hope and fresh starts. More than just a business, Studio D provides transitional employment opportunities, serving as a beacon for foster youth, veterans, and recently released individuals, illuminating their paths with skills, employment, and empowerment.

This spirit of resilience and reinvention shines even brighter in 2023, as Ronda was recognized as the Woman Business Owner of the Year by NAWBOLA. Her company’s accolades include being named the Supplier of the Year by the Southern California Minority Supplier Development Council for four consecutive years. Additionally, in 2018, she was honored as the Women’s Business Enterprise Council (WBEC) – West Star and as the Enterprising Woman of the Year.

“Adaptability coupled with responsiveness,” Ronda asserts, “is the cornerstone of my success.” This ethos is evident as she continually aids her clients in evolving to meet the market’s dynamic needs.

Beyond the corporate realm, Ronda is deeply entrenched in community upliftment and empowerment. Through In the Mix, a dedicated 501c3 non-profit, she pioneers initiatives for business capacity building and workforce development. Amidst the pandemic’s challenges, she launched “The Road to Recovery” podcast. This platform offers actionable insights, education, and encouragement to fellow entrepreneurs.

Her guidance to emerging businesses? “Align with certifications that resonate with your aspirational clientele.” Living this counsel, her own firm is recognized with certifications like SBE, MBE, WBE, and HUBZone.

But Ronda’s narrative is not just about entrepreneurship. As a captivating speaker, emcee, and show host, her voice echoes authenticity, inspiration, and transformative change. “Through all my platforms, be it podcasting or public speaking, my mission is to enlighten, empower, and elevate,” she shares.

Ronda Jackson is more than an entrepreneur. She represents a movement, a testament to perseverance. She is a designer transforming space and a change agent transforming lives.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
In the whirlwind of entrepreneurship, navigating the challenges of being a single mother, bootstrapping to start and maintain a business, and facing the uphill battle of accessing capital can be daunting for any woman. Yet, amidst the chaos, there lies a beacon of hope, a reminder of the importance of mental health.

For Ronda Jackson, founder of the wellness program Guided Expressions: A Journey to Well-Being, the journey towards mental wellness has been both personal and professional. As she embarked on her entrepreneurial path, she realized the critical role mental health plays in sustaining resilience and fortitude during the toughest of times.

Launching a nonprofit program highlighting mental health awareness was not just about creating change in the world; it was about empowering herself and others to prioritize self-care and well-being. “Putting your mask on first” became more than just a phrase; it became a vantage point from which to view life’s challenges with stamina and resilience.

In a world where women, particularly BIPOC women, often carry the weight of multiple roles and responsibilities, prioritizing mental health is not just a luxury; it’s a necessity. The stigma surrounding mental health in our communities must be dismantled, and conversations around self-care and seeking help must be normalized.

As Ronda trains, coaches and shares her insights, she emphasizes the importance of taking action, not just collecting resources. Information alone is not enough; implementation is key to transformation. Through community, faith, and a commitment to self-care, she has discovered that mental health is not just a cornerstone of success; it is the foundation upon which greatness is built.

“Our journey towards success is not just about achieving external milestones; it’s about nurturing our inner selves and fostering resilience in the face of adversity,” Ronda shares.

By prioritizing mental health, we pave the way for a brighter, more empowered future—for ourselves and for generations to come.
