Today we’d like to introduce you to Revelry.
Hi Revelry, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
Revelry first started in the year 2017 as a pop punk band. The only original member of the band still in it today is David Alexander. As Revelry started writing songs and gearing up to record their first EP “Limerence”, a second guitarist (Jeff Sage) would join the band. Throughout the years, the band would go on to write a second EP (Safer Bets) and a slew of various singles and cover songs, all while having the bands members come and go. Even during covid, the band was completely broken up. But if it’s one thing this band knows, it’s persistence. In 2023 bassist Brian Kriz would join the band but shortly after, we would have to find a new vocalist due to another departure of a member. The band was looking for a genre change at this point and it would become the perfect time for our singer Kailey Shepardson to join. We now hit the ground running with a new sound and what seems to be like a fresh start. With the release of our biggest single to date (SWEET TOOTH) we knew that this was the start of something great. In 2025, we would part ways with our drummer right before our music video shoot for our single LOVE ME NOW. This would be when we found Todd Encarnacion. With just a few days to learn the song, Todd showed up to the music video shoot completely prepared and also fit right in with the bands vibes and members. This would become the Revelry you see and hear today!
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
This band has seen several members come and go. Which has caused several set backs but has led us to the family are today. We love where we are at now and wouldn’t change it any other way.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
We have had the privilege to work with some amazing people in the music scene such as Joey Doherty (producer) and Skye Acord (Issues/Twenty One Pilots) when it comes to writing and song brainstorming. We have also had the honor to have a few artists feature on some of our singles such as Kellin Quinn, Myke Terry, and Bradley Scott. Our biggest accomplishment would have to be gaining thousands upon thousands of streams and playing live shows as much as possible! We love to see new fans reactions to our music.
What do you like best about our city? What do you like least?
We live in Los Angeles, so there is a lot of pros and cons. One of the better things about the city of Los Angeles is the abundance of food options. We love having band meetings or even just grabbing dinner together at places like Salsa and Beer or Barney’s Beanery. The cons would have to be the constant traffic and prices of basic things. Like most up and coming bands, we all work full time day jobs just to make ends meet.
