Check Out Analeece Martinez’s Story

Today we’d like to introduce you to Analeece Martinez.

Analeece, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
MILFit really started from a place where I was struggling myself. I was a young mom, I had gotten pregnant fairly quickly into my relationship, and I felt like so many huge life changes happened all at once. I was dealing with postpartum depression, and honestly, I felt really isolated and lonely. I was trying to figure out who I was as a mom while also feeling like I had lost a little bit of myself. I started realizing how powerful movement could be for me. Being able to work out and move my body helped pull me out of a really dark place. And when I started working out with my baby, it took away one of the biggest barriers for moms, which is having to find childcare. I could bring my baby with me, get outside, move my body, and most importantly, I was making time for myself. A little fresh air and sunshine was the best thing i did to prioritize my mental health. I think as moms, we get so caught up doing everything for everyone else that we forget that we deserve to do something for ourselves, too. That’s really where the idea behind MILFit came from.

I started by offering free classes and just trying to build a space where moms could come exactly as they were. It definitely hasn’t always been easy. There were days when one person showed up, or sometimes no one showed up at all. But I kept going because I believed in what I was creating.

And now, seeing where MILFit is today has been really beautiful. It’s not just about working out anymore. I’ve watched moms make genuine friendships, find their confidence again, and build a community where they feel seen and supported. I’ve made friendships through it too, and I think that’s one of the most special parts. Something that started because I needed a space for myself has turned into a space where other moms can find that same connection.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, it definitely hasn’t always been a smooth road. There have been a lot of obstacles along the way, and there have definitely been days where I’ve questioned myself or wondered if what I was doing was even working. There have been classes where no one showed up at all, and those moments were so discouraging.

But I kept reminding myself why I started. MILFit came from something that genuinely helped me through a really difficult time in my life. I know how isolating motherhood can feel, and I wanted to create a space where moms could come, move their bodies, bring their babies, meet other moms, and just feel like themselves again.

For me, it’s never been about being the biggest or having the most people. I want MILFit to be affordable and accessible to every mom, and more than anything, I want to build a real community. So even when things haven’t gone exactly how I imagined, And only about small fraction of people showed up to events or workouts. I’ve kept showing up. And seeing the friendships and connections that have come from it reminds me that it’s worth it.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your work?
MILFit is a fitness and community space created specifically for moms. I create beginner-friendly workouts and events where moms can move their bodies, bring their babies, meet other moms, and most importantly, feel like they have a space that is just for them.

I think what sets MILFit apart is that it’s not just about fitness. Of course, we’re going to sweat and get stronger, but I care just as much about the connection that happens before and after the workout. I want moms to walk away feeling stronger physically, but also feeling seen, supported, and connected.

I’m really passionate about making fitness affordable and accessible because I know that not every mom has the time, money, or childcare to prioritize herself. I want to take away some of those barriers and show moms that taking care of themselves doesn’t have to mean stepping away from being a mom.

What I’m most proud of is the community we’ve created. Seeing moms who may have walked into a class not knowing anyone leave with new friendships, or seeing a mom start to prioritize herself again, means so much more to me than numbers or how big MILFit gets. I started MILFit because I needed that space myself, and watching it become a space that other moms need too is something I’m incredibly proud of.

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Honestly, I don’t think there’s one specific app, book, podcast, or resource that I rely on. A lot of what has helped me do my best has come from my own experiences, especially becoming a mom and going through some really difficult seasons in my life. I’ve learned a lot from the moms I’ve met through MILFit, too. Hearing their stories, learning from their experiences, and seeing how different every mom’s journey is has shaped the way I approach what I do. I’m always learning as I go, and I think that’s part of what makes MILFit feel so genuine. It’s something I’m building alongside the moms who are part of it.
