We’re looking forward to introducing you to Tatiana Fedotova. Check out our conversation below.
Hi Tatiana, thank you so much for taking time out of your busy day to share your story, experiences and insights with our readers. Let’s jump right in with an interesting one: What is something outside of work that is bringing you joy lately?
Lately, so many things have been bringing me joy! I love exploring new places and trying out new restaurants. Volunteering at the dog rescue has also been a highlight – I’m a total dog lover! I think dogs embody pure happiness, teaching us valuable lessons about unconditional love, loyalty, companionship, and empathy. Dogs always know how to put a smile on my face. Overall, they bring so much joy and fun into my life!
Can you briefly introduce yourself and share what makes you or your brand unique?
Hello everyone! My name is Tatiana Fedotova. I am a professional magician with a specialty in mentalism. Magic is a unique and exciting field because, as part of the profession, I am given the opportunity to read minds, make predictions, and create an environment that allows audience members to immerse themselves in fun and enjoyable activities.
Thanks for sharing that. Would love to go back in time and hear about how your past might have impacted who you are today. Who taught you the most about work?
When it comes to learning, I admire my teachers. My first magic teacher was Mark Wilson, the first major television magician. Mark and his wife, Nani Darnell, who assisted with many of his tricks, taught me the basics of magic and helped me discover my specialty. My second magic teacher was Brian Gillis. He was Johnny Carson and Johnny Depp’s favorite magician. Brian Gillis taught me a lot about performance, marketing, presentation, and dress code. Honestly speaking, when I was learning from them, I didn’t realize how influential my teachers were in the world of magic until they passed away. I admit I took things for granted, and as I reflect on the many lessons I learned; I feel incredibly lucky to have had the opportunity to learn from such legends.
If you could say one kind thing to your younger self, what would it be?
One thing I’d tell my younger self is that your parents love you, no matter what. They may not know how to show it perfectly but they were doing their best – like we all do. They may have repeated patterns from their own upbringing which may have been passed down from previous generations, but in their hearts, they truly have only good intentions and love towards you.
I think our readers would appreciate hearing more about your values and what you think matters in life and career, etc. So our next question is along those lines. What’s a cultural value you protect at all costs?
A cultural value I hold dear is respect for elders. Growing up, my parents taught me to prioritize harmony and avoid conflict with older people, even when it’s challenging. This value has shaped my relationships and interactions with others.
Okay, so let’s keep going with one more question that means a lot to us: When do you feel most at peace?
I feel most at peace when I’m surrounded by people who love and accept me for who I am.
